Dec 29, 2021 I placed my initial deposit for a custom Kenesky ice hockey goalie chest pad, I provided my body measurements and special requests for this custom chest pad to Kenesky for them to build what they advertise on their website as a "fully customizable" chest pad "made to your specs for sizing." It took until Jan 27, 2023 for the unit to be built. I physically received the unit Feb 7th 2023, I tried it on in my house and it didn't fit. I sent a long email to Kenesky right away explaining the issues and that the custom unit was not fitting. The arms are very messed up, where the elbow bend should be is on my forearm, also the shoulder floaters which I asked for them to trim in my initial order did not end up trimmed, they are way too long for me. Kenesky asked me to send the unit back to have it adjusted. I sent it back April 2023 (at my cost of shipping), would have sent it sooner but my Dad had just died at Christmas 2022. Kenesky had the unit for 7 months, when I would ask what the status was they would say they were busy with other things. Now Jan/Feb 2024, Kenesky tells me my only option is for them to charge me an additional $300 to fix what was supposed to be a custom fitting unit. When they asked me to send the chest pad back, and over the 7 months they had it in hand, they never said anything about paying more to have the chest pad fixed. The chest pad was should have fit from the beginning given it is supposed to be a custom made chest pad made to my specs and sizing. Numerous emails back and forth and I am getting nowhere with this company. I gave them 3 options (refund, repair or exchange) to make this right and they told me no. They are saying if I don't pay them $300 they won't do anything with the unit except ship it back to me and I suspect they will want me to pay for that shipping too. I purchased a custom made chest pad that was supposed to be made based on my bodily measurements, it should fit perfect but it does not even come close.Customer response

As per our phone conversation, the issue behind complaint #******** has been resolved. Kenesky has contacted me this morning and a resolution is in place. Please close the complaint as resolved.
