On Nov 6 2023. Price: over $500. Services: hair dyed purple, hair cut, hair treatment. Dispute: dye washed out after 1 week, it was supposed to be permanent. Stylist also dyed my hair when it was quite dry. Trusting her “expertise” and following a hair treatment to revive the hair strands in preparation for the toner and dye, the dye did not stay in & 80% washed out in a week. The hairdresser should have advised me to come back once my hair wasn’t in rough shape so the toner could be left longer for the dye to be deposited properly. Now every time I wash my hair or comb it, my hair has become difficult to manage because the strands have become damaged. Attempts to rectify: an appointment was booked two weeks after to retone (nov 20). However I could not attend the appointment due to a family emergency and that took some time to resolve. I tried calling to inform the hair studio (Tonyc) on the day of the second appointment (nov 20) but when I called I couldn’t leave a message. They did not have an answering machine. Due to the family emergency I was unable to follow up again until this evening (nov 25). During this interaction they informed me because 3 weeks had passed they would have to charge me for the cost of the toner if I were to get it redone. They may have tried to resolve it but not in the way that didn’t cost me more money and they certainly didn’t advise that there was a time limit to when a hair job could be redone. They also took a picture of what my hair looked like a week after it was originally done so they have photo evidence of how much of the dye was washed out. Lack of transparency, lack of due diligence on the hair dresser’s part to ensure my hair was ready for the dye, damage to my hair, and attempt at price gouging when they said they had to charge to re-tone, & lack of flexibility in addressing the issue is why this complaint is being filed. Originally asked for a partial refund which they denied. Now I’m asking for a full refund.Initial Complaint

At tonyc salon After asking a price point for half head of highlight the stylist assured me it would be 200.00 with that number I agreed and decided to do a cut as well. After all done I get a bill for 425.00 never heard of a 225 hair cut that took a max of 5 min. When I called and asked about the charges was told I was charged 250 for the highlights plus 85 cut plus billed for a treatment I did not ask for when requesting refund for the over charge the manager approves 40.00 refund when i was over charged over 100 and ********* ****** * **** ** " I have to trust what my stylist says" this is the ***** customer service I have ever received.
