I’m very frustrated and unhappy with this company. * **** ** **** * ********* ******* **** ******* **** ***. They were with ******** until now and I paid their bill of this month on July 3rd already and now I expect the bill in August which is $40.66. They now are kicked off by ******** and have sent me a double bill of August $81.32. I have a paper bill from ******** that I paid the bill of this month as a proof and next month I can pay directly to Enercare. I called them twice yesterday but they had no proper answer to why they sent me the double bill when I am regularly paying my bill. They put me on long holds twice and then disconnected my call.On satisfaction survey there’s only one option to choose which is satisfied. Option 2 dissatisfied is saying invalid option. This is unbelievable! They are cheaters. A few months ago too when my one year of payments were almost done and it’s time to book the service appointment. I booked the appointment for coming Saturday and talked to the representative to give me a better deal for next year. He gave me a false deal and canceled my existing plan. I kept waiting for the service guy that was supposed to come but he never showed up. Upon calling them I was informed your appointment was canceled because your plan is changed now and they said sorry about that guy and gave me the service appointment on the terms that they will not give me the service at the end of this year. This is ridiculous. I have been hung up on 4 times and wasted 4 hours of my time to cancel. I thought it was finally over but then i receive another bill the following month. I call back, wait 35 min to explain my situation only to get hung up on again. Call back, wait another 35 min to finally get an email confirmation the my account was cancelled. Wasted over 5 hours of my time to cancel an account......that is absurd. I have been waiting for Enercare to remove my leaky water tank. They called me while I was sitting outside waiting for a pick up, to cancel my appointment. No respect for the customer. No compensation for my time. ***** ******* ** **** *****Review from Mary P

The worst customer service ever. ** *** **** **** **** ******** It is supposed to be a 24 hour emergency service, it is not. ** 88 year old *** had a leak from *** hot water tank on the Friday night, nobody came out. After numerous calls over the weekend, they were supposed to come first thing Sunday at 8 am to install a new hot water tank. They did not. They make false promises about the time expected for service. I had to reach out to my **** to go and assist *** with the leak. Even though this is a paid emergency service. Their service representatives (except for one) were all ****. The last person I dealt with talked at me, cut me off and was awful to deal with. I had the most difficult time cancelling the contract. I cannot believe the experience we had trying to get immediate service *** ** ** **** *** ***** ****** *****. *** went all weekend without hot water.Review from Brenda F

I've been without hot water for 4 days. My hot water tank wasn't the correct one when installed in 2021. There's no fan venting the CO2 emissions from our home. I've contacted them several times with no resolution. The enercare technicians, I had 2 come out, didn't recognize that there wasn't a fan sucking out the CO2 emissions. They first technician said he couldn't fix the problem that there was a blockage, which there wasn't. The second technician said it could be a plumbing issue or the pipes needed to be changed. Neither of these were true. I am holding them liable for not recognizing the issue and am requesting 3 years, from the date of the wrong tank installed, free rental. In my opinion, these technicians were not qualified for this job and should be reprimanded. I am beside myself with the non existent customer service they provide, hungry for your money with no resolution or responsible for their actions.Review from Swathi V

I had a very bad experience on enercare. They called me and told initial 6 months they said free service and the service they provided was very bad. If we call them and say service was not good and would like to cancel the plan they ask us to make payment for the next 6 months. and plan is for 1 year.Review from Sean M

My current Enercare water heater rental has stayed the same amount for 22 years. Tried to negotiate a replacement and was quoted the same rate per month. In reading me the contract fine print to book an appointment, I was told “every Jan 1 the rental cost MIGHT increase by the CPI plus 2 %. Researching online shows they ALWAYS bump the rental rate Jan 1 compounding increases every year. This was only mentioned booking the deal. Non disclosure ******* business culture here as the asset your renting does not go up and your on the hook for 15 years in the contract to pay it out.Review from Ana S

** ******** ****** **** ******** ******** **** ************ **** ** ******** ****** Their customer service is worse than horrible, they are only interested in taking as much money as possible from consumers, rules do not seem to apply to them. ****** *** ****** ******** ********* *** ********* ******** **** *** ****** *** **** ****** ** *** ***** I purchased a home that came with a rented water heater, I have been trying to break the contract but to break it I need to know the terms of the contract. Enercare simply refuses or otherwise has failed completely at producing a signed copy of the contract entered into by the previous owner of our home. Instead, they simply came up with an outrageously expensive termination fee (they call it buyout, even though I do not want to keep the old piece of junk they call equipment, so I asked Enercare to remove it, but they won’t bother picking up an old and useless water heater). All I want is a signed copy of the agreement for the water heater that is in our home so I could better understand the termination cost. If there is no agreement, I should be allowed to simply terminate the contract by giving notice (and free of any unilaterally imposed penalty in favor of Enercare). Horrible customer service. I sold my house months ago and I am still receiving bills from Enercare for a hot water tank. I called Enercare numerous times and the calls always last over an hour with agent after agent putting you on hold with no resolution just a reference number for a request to look into the situation that doesn’t seem to get addressed or resolved. Absolutely would never deal with this company again.Review from Carlene P

I called in a service call On Tues June 3, 2024, at 8:10 CSR Raphael confirmed all the information and I would be serviced same day. No one called, no service received. Called back Fri June 7,2024 to inquire what happened. On answering the phone I couldn’t make out what was happening ** *** *** *** ******** ** ***** * ***** ** ** *** ** *** ** **** ** * ***** ********* I told him what happened and he said no service call happened. He then said he completed a new service call to my correct address. I proceeded to ask him to confirm if any service was completed at the beginning of the week, ** ******* ** *** ****** **** *** eventually said no, ****** ** * ***** and then hung up. *** *** ***** ** ** ******* *** ** **** *** ***** *** *********** ** **** *** ******** **** ******** *** ** **** ******* ****** *** ** ***** **** **** **** **** ** *** *** ** ** ** **** **** **** **** **** *************T I called right back and spoke to Verson who was extremely helpful gave me information on rectifying the address issue. He then connected me to Supervisor Daniel and the bad customer service starts again. After paying for services, trying to get service **** ****** ****** ***** ***** **, and all they can do is apologize on sebastian’s behalf.
