On Dec 11, 2022 a safety certificate was filled out by this business on a truck that we were buying privately. When we picked up the vehicle two weeks later my husband checked the frame of the truck and it was severely rotted out meaning it should never have passed a safety and been given a safety certificate as this company had just issued. We bought the truck on condition that it passed a safety assessment and had a safety certificate. The owner of the truck refused to reimburse us the money and take back the truck. He said our issue was between us and the company that issued the safety certificate. We are now out $5,500 for the truck plus travel expenses plus storage costs for leaving the truck in Ottawa and not being able to bring it back home with us.Business response

While we're sorry to read about the customer's experience, we appreciate the time they took to share their concerns.
As soon as we were notified about this complaint, a representative from our quality team reached out to the customer within 30 minutes, and left a voicemail for a request of a callback.
Once we had the opportunity to speak with the customer, we tried to understand their concern and work towards a mutually agreeable and timely resolution.
On the same call, we addressed all the customers concerns and resolved the issue to their complete satisfaction.
It is our hope we have regained the trust and left the customer with a feeling that the resolution was fair and faster than they may have expected.
While we understand approaching the ****** ******** ****** with a concern, as some businesses might not respond amicably.
We encourage our customers to please give us the opportunity to understand the issue first and try to move towards a resolution that is satisfactory. We are not perfect but strive for perfection. If you are not completely satisfied, we will do whatever it takes to make it right. We care because you matter to us. Our customers are like the oxygen for our company therefore we will not leave any stone unturned to ensure your 100% satisfaction.Customer response
