I hired Main Street Roofing to repair and re shingle my roof due to a leak I had inside. I had a claim open with my insurance company. I told Chris, the owner, that the adjuster required specific information to settle my claim. One of the things was pictures which he had his workers take. Aside from that he repeatedly told me that he doesn't get involved with insurance companies. His payment was not contingent on insurance claim paying out. All he had to do was provide information that had been requested. The job took 2 days and on completion .his wife picked up a cheque for payment in full. She sent me he pictures that were taken and were sent to the adjuster. The insurance still required additional information. This information has been requested numerous times. Just before Christmas I appealed again and his wife ****** said send your address again as he might have to come out. I heard nothing. I sent an other email this week and nothing. Here is the list of information required. I feel as a customer/consumer I am en titled to this. * A precise sketch of the damaged rooms, elements or surfaces * This sketch must use the imperial system (feet and inches) of measurement * The specificity of the quality of the materials * The description you give is essential to grant you the equivalent quality of the damaged goods, as noted on your policy, regardless what you decide to do next * If you have the packaging or the receipt of the original materials, you can send us a picture to support your description * Photos of the area * Photos will allow us to validate the extent of the damage and confirm the necessary work to be done * It is important to provide pictures of the damage and the materials that need to be replaced, including: * A photo of the dwelling from the street * An overview (photo taken from a distance) of each affected room, element or surface * A closer view of the damage * The measurements of the damaged materials
