We have had a four year problem with this company for lack of service. This complaint stems from a service call preformed July 19th 2022. Due to previous problems with the equipment installed,and on going error messages that caused our heating/ AC system to shut down we contacted the company. We inquired if they would finally send a technician to rectify the problem and since a technician was coming he/she could preform a service call to clean the furnace ( the issue causing the shut down ). The companies technician along with an apprentice attended our address on the above date, I explained the problems that we had with the system in the past and the ongoing excuses and denials from the owner of the company that the errors were caused by us not the system. The technician checked various things and none were found to be the cause of the problems we were experiencing. The technician found that the fan speed was not calculated properly when installed originally but they did not come with the proper tools to fix the problem. After a few hours the fan sped was rectified. Upon checking and doing diagnostics on the system, the error code flashed and the system shut down. The technician had his apprentice open up the side of the system when it was discovered that a large amount of water had just emptied onto the gravel floor. Upon visually checking the system, it was found that the system was never installed with a trap thus causing the water to back up and freezing the system. The technician stated that was what the cause of our problems were and he installed a trap. Two days later we received a bill for $519.80. I contacted Kegel Heating and Air to discuss the bill and that they were responsible for the faulty installation. An email was sent by us to attempt a resolution with no response. On January 27th we were notified that we were sent to collections with interest to the original bill for late payment.Business response
