I hired Startub based on their good reviews, and although I realize you can't please everybody, I am VERY disappointed in their after sale service. **************************** I needed to have a tub refinished in a rental property that I own. I called and got a quote, then arranged for the service to be done. So far so good.
Just a few weeks after the refinishing was done, the tenant called me to advise there was a bubble in the glaze on one of the sides of her tub. Naturally, I called and arranged for a service call for a touch up which I was assured would be completed. For a number of reasons, it took couple of months for the tech to arrive for the service call. In the mean time, the glazing was falling off in sheets, and most of the tub was now back to its original state. Silvano then told me a number of reasons that the glaze fell off all because of the tenant. She started to use it too soon after the job was complete, she washed her dog in the tub and his nails scratched the surface, there was overspray, and a few others. What it really looks like is the surface wasn't properly prepped and the glaze didn't adhere properly.
The next thing he told me was that I would have to pay an additional $150.00 to have him refinish it. Then he changed his mind and because the tenant damaged the finish, I will have to pay for it all over again.
it would have been much cheaper to just put a new tub in to begin with, which I will end up doing. Save yourself lots of grief, and don't hire this company.Review from Dante V

Our bathtub looks absolutely brand new again. What an amazing transformation. Totally professional and knew what he was doing. We wish we had done this years ago
