    We had seen on Consumer Report that we could upgrade and receive rebate We knew we would have to pay something. Ontario Smart Energy got in touch with us and a representative was sent out on February 3rd to let us know what should be done. She said we needed insulation in the attic, should switch to a heat pump (a ****** was to be installed but a **** **** was installed),a new furnace , a new thermostat and we would receive $500.00. She said the upgrades would be energy efficient. At 8:00 on the 3rd she phoned saying the loan had been approved. The price of this upgrade would cost $29,500,00 paying $178.61 a month for 240 months with the cost of the loan it would be $30,754.00. The work started February 4th and finished February 6th. We asked to rep several times for an itemized invoice, a receipt and paperwork for the warranties. We have received nothing. I asked about rebates on the heat pump and furnace and was told there wasn't any rebates. When the insulation was put in the we were told it wouldn't cost anything. A gentleman phoned and asked what the problem was and he said the same thing the rep said. He said we would receive the $500.00 and an ****** gift card for $150.00 because of the ornaments that had been broken and the mess that was left.     From start to finish, everything they said was an absolute ***, this company ***** on people with misinformation. 1) savings of 50-70% a month on my energy bill, over all it went up 15%. 2) rebate within 3-4 months and I have text confirmation that I had zero set up on my end to receive the money. 4 months later I called and they stated I haven’t started the process yet and it would take 6-9 months now. The sales rep promised it would be $10,000 rebate, not up to, he had an app that showed it would be 10,000 minimum. But I’m hearing it will be “up to” with a very little chance it will be even close to the agreed upon amount. Salesman ****, and when I complained they only said, sorry he no longer works here. 3. I was told I was locked in at 240 months at 3.99% interest, after a year I was just notified it’s going up to 11.99%. The sales man wrote down my contact with all the key points on his **** contract notes, however they weren’t included in the contract and had me sign a different document. EXTREMELY *****, they continuously **** to me to get the sale. 4. The average price of the work was quoted to me at $16,000, they quoted $25,000. I told him that, but he promised the $10,000 rebate actually made it a net positive for me, however we now know the chance of getting a full rebate is slim to none. **** *** **** **** **** ********

If your bills are significantly higher than expected, we are committed to helping you resolve this issue. We offer a complimentary assessment where a technician will visit your property to inspect your units and verify that everything is functioning correctly and settings are optimized for maximum savings. Concerning the rebate process, we handle the payment and coordination of your audits. Once this process is completed, your rebate is managed by Enbridge, who is responsible for issuing the cheque. We do not send out these cheques and unfortunately do not have control over the timeframe. To address your concerns more effectively and provide personalized assistance, we encourage you to contact our customer service line or email us.     Yes, you did do an over the phone consultation before the installation. However, you asked if the salesman “promised anything” outside the contract. Yet, he **** to me about what was in the contact, so to the best of knowledge, he didn’t promise anything outside the contact, rather he just misinformed me. Also, you told me he was let go from the company, so I’m assuming this was a repeat issue. ***** ******* ****** ** ******** **** **** ******* ***** * *** **** ** ***** *** *** ******* ******* you informed me that your company only offers locked in rates for 12 months. **** ********* ** ** **** *** *** **** ** ****** ** ********* ** ******** ***** ** **** ****   This review isn’t for resolution as I know that will not happen, **** ******* ***** ** *********** *** ** **** **** ** ************ *** ***** ** ***** *****. **** **** **** **** ******** ** ****** *** **** ****** ** **** ** * ******* ** **** *** *** ******* * **** ***** ********* ********* **** **** ****** *** **** *** *** **** **** **** ******* *** ***** ********* **********  I recommend all customers to just read their pricing and reference the cost of material to the actual sale price. They double and sometimes triple the cost of material to profit over $10,000 on a single day install. This enough should be enough ** **** **** **** **** ********
