(At this point I am now walking into the dealership because I got dropped off from a friend i just sold my car to, to come buy this car.) while I see him pulling the car around. My wife was walking out the dealership with the two kids towards the car so I thought she asked for a test drive so I asked Quinn the sales person if he needed my license and he said sure I just need to run in a take a copy. My family sat in the car to wait for Quinn to come back and when he returned we drove down Dixie for a spin and came back.
When we returned to draw up the paperwork Quinn said he couldn't find the car in the computer so he went to speak to Leo who is the used car manager.
After returning from speaking to Leo V. he looked dejected and said he had bad news. He began to tell us that he is sorry but the car sold while we were on a test drive.
Now I'm not sure about how the car world works but my wife said "we want to buy it " that's a verbal binder and if we had known that the car could've been sold while we were on a test drive we would've gave him the $13000 to buy the car there and then.
Now all of this was bad. But what was even worse is the fact that Leo when asked "when was the deposit made" he responded "I don't know " and that wouldn't make sense because the deal would've had to go through him.
We just feel we were dealt with wrong. And did not get a fair chance to buy the car. We came to buy the car and I feel like we were prejudged when we walked in as a younger couple with kids and they thought we couldn't afford it.
