      ** *** **** ******* *** ****** ********* **** ****** *** ******* ** *** *** **** **** ***** ****** * Booked a trip to Jamaica, resort was advertised as a 5 star, spent $6000 for 2 adults 1 child-**** * They put us in a room with nightly entertainment (that goes passed 11pm) right outside our balcony. Great room if you are without kids, but with a 4 y/o he couldn't sleep. I had to beg for a different room. Waited hours for them to bring his pull away bed, eventually gave up and had him sleep in our bed - they came knocking at our door at 2AM with the roll away. * The resort was **********. Cockroaches everywhere - dead ones & alive ones. * Air Canada Vacations rep did nothing to help, pretended to contact management but was stalling until we left - once we left she didn't respond to me any more. * Didn't have enough room on the bus to the airport, my husband had to ride with luggages on his lap. * Complained when we got back - through online system (they do not have a customer complaint dept. where you can actually talk to someone) MONTHS later got a reply. - Received a travel voucher for $560 - that can only be used for ACV - Emailed back if I could use the voucher for a flight only since I will never use ACV again, they said they would make an exception just book through ACV and send an email with fight # and voucher. - I followed the link on the ACV website for "flights", I booked the flights, sent the email. - Got an email back saying that I bought through *** ****** NOT ACV and they can't use the voucher. - Just got off another hour + phone call where they have sent an email and someone might reach out to me to see if there is anything they can do. Voucher will be expired by then. Bottom line, paid $6000 for a horrible / stressful vacation. Got a measly $560 that I CAN'T EVEN USE, no one to answer my questions, no one to help. **** **** **** **** * ****** ***** **** *** *** *** ***** ********

      Booked all inclusive trip *** ****** *** * ****, got an email that my flights were cancelled! They offered flights the next day but no hotel changes - in Cuba! Opted for full refund and that will take 15 business days to process!!! So now I can’t rebook **** **** *** ******* until I get my refund…I will never book with Air Canada again!

Since Air Canada Vacations has not control over the refund process in its whole such as the bank processing after receipt of the refund notification, we indicate a period of 15 days. The client opted for the refund on January 28, 2024, and the refund was processed on February 5, 2024. Thank you for the opportunity to clarify the handling.

      Booked a 4 city eastern Canada vacation we took in Sept 2023 booked thru ****** **** **** ***** for an Air Canada Vacation (ACV). Waited until Jan 23 for a reply from ACV re compensation for the horrible accommodations in 3 of the 4 hotels. This is the reply we got from ACV “ACV deals long time suppliers with good reputation, that we trust to serve our clients at destination, we chose hotels that match the needs of all customers.” The advertisement listed 4 hotels “or similar”. Even after stating up front with *** In April that we wanted the advertised hotels and were willing to pay for them we were put off by the agent who either couldn’t be bothered or was too busy to look into it and said we would find out which hotels it would be 6 weeks prior to going and we could make changes as needed then, WRONG. See for yourself, check out the reviews (use Most Recent) for the advertised hotels (noted 1st) vs the “or similar” hotels we were given (noted 2nd). It wasn’t the location of the hotels, was the cleanliness, trouble with locks/room cards, elevators… We were satisfied with the “or similar” we were given in Ottawa which we told *** before we left. In Toronto: ** ******* Hotel ******* ****** vs **** *** ******. In Quebec City: ********* Hotel vs ***** ** ********. In Montreal: Hotel ** ******* vs Hotel ********* There is obviously nothing similar about the hotels as well as not being in the same price category. *** ******* ***** **** ******** **** ****** *** ********* We were also asked what time we wanted to take the trains between cities but did not receive our request. *** ***** ** ******** ** ****** **** *** ********** **********, ***** **** ***** *** ****** **** *** ******** ** *** **** ** **** **** *** **** *** ****** ** ** *****

      AC Vacations Flight **** Departing from Edmonton Sat. Jan 13 * ****. We boarded 30-40 minutes late. One boarded we remained at the gate with delays being.....catering, then refueling, then engine would not start. After multiple attempted to rectify the issue, we were taken back to the gate @ 240PM and deplaned. We waited at the gate for over an hour before we were advised via email that the flight was cancelled due to "maintenance issues". Within 10 minutes, we received an email advising the flight would occur Sunday Jan. 14th @ 10AM. We began calling ACV and found that ACV only has regular business hours to contact their representatives!! So out west by 3-4PM, you cannot speak to ACV.....what terrible customer service. Sunday morning we began to call ACV and was on hold for 45 minutes and was transferred to another area and disconnected after 30 minutes.....this occurred three times before we gave up trying to speak with ACV. We repeated the morning and boarded the plane @ 11AM and the same delays began.....catering, then fuel....delaying the flight until 12:30PM.....2.5 hours late. We arrived in Cancun the same 2.5 hours late and arrived at our resort very late. The next morning we met with the ACV Representative at the hotel and discussed the delays and the fact we lost a full day of our vacation. We asked if he could arrange moving our return flight with ACV to provide us with the 7 day vacation we paid for....he said that was not possible and to contact ACV to see what could be done. ** **** **** ** **** ** all-inclusive vacations, this was the first with ACV and the last. * **** **** * ** ******** *** **** ** ***** *** **** ACV has provided the worst level of customer service I have experienced. Impossible to contact/speak with a person, huge delays due to maintenance issues, loss of a day of our vacation and now no ACV rep. at the resort. ACV has single handedly caused excessive stress to our much needed vacation. Terrible on all levels.

      Impossible to get through on their phone lines. Waited 7 hours in line and never got through. Absolutely never booking with them again. Even my travel agent couldn't get through. She waited a total of 17 hours in queue. They take your money quick enough but if you have any issues they don't want to hear from you

      What is the point of telling customers to book in advance when you cancel trips and force us to book short notice at higher price with no help on the price difference. We asked to speak to someone and we were told we might not get a call back, seriously? Interesting way to treat customers !

      SAVE YOURSELF FROM A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND BOOK WITH SOMEONE ELSE. *** ****** ********* *** ******* *** * ***** ** *** ****. Me and my two sisters booked a trip to Mexico (september 4 2023), and were advised by our Rep that we needed to meet with the air canada rep in another lobby to book our excursions, and our transportation to the air port. After paying cash, and not recieving a receipt with one of our excursions (he said it would come in my email, it didnt) we were on our way. when it became time to board our bus for Coco Bongo (it was also my sisters birthday) , our rep only relied that there were 2 guests and not 3 (when all three of us paid). The foreign men were super rude to my sisters and I, they treated us like it was our fault the 3rd person wasn't included on their list, they absolutely didnt want my sister to attend the excursion with us. Im sorry, but we are 3 single women in mexico, we are NOT leaving anyone behind. They ruined my sisters birthday, then they wanted my sister to stand on a bus for over 45 mins in the isle, this is NOT what we paid for. it was a terrible experience. they refused to give us our money back when we didnt go, and when i lodged a complaint with my air canada rep who i booked with, i was passed on to someone else, only for them to disregard our entire experience, and basically say it was our fault for booking with a "3rd" party for our excursion (he was a air canada rep) and that thats the risk you take.

      Customer service is the worst, their policy is terrible, I booked a vacation 2 days prior to leaving, their policy states no changes 21 days prior which is impossible in this case. 2 things I asked for changes with, and in both cases categorically denied because of the 21 day policy. 1st change a flight to an earlier time ***** ** *** ****** ********* ***** ** **** ** *** ******* the change was a simple change to an earlier flight which was exactly the same cost as the one already booked, and had room on the flight. cannot do this as it is to late. 2nd ask, cancel 1 night of the hotel booking, as we were getting in late and would have to drive in terrible conditions and for the sake of my family safety I asked if the 1st night could be refunded so I could book by the airport to avoid driving late at night in the snow, their response there is nothing that could do, for the sake of $200 and safety, nothing we can do because our policy states... only 21 days before, even if you book only a few days before your travel date.

      I booked a trip to Egypt all included (even the visa was included in the description) **** ** ********** for October. One month before the trip, Egypt changed the procedure to get a visa, you now have to get it at the ambassy in Montreal at the cost of 300$ and if you don't get it, you can't enter the country. This is a change in the term of the contract. When I called them at several time, they were always finding an excuse to not help. I've been transfered several time, the manager was not there. *** *** ** **** ****** ** ***** ** * ****** ** *** ********* *** ******** *** ** ***** ** *** ****** ** ** *** ** ** ********** ** ** ** ***** ***** ***** **** ******* ** *** I decided to send them a formal notice. They finally accepeted to accomodate and offered 140$ per person *** * *** ** ****** ******** **** that I finally accepted their offer. It turn out that they have not paid what we agreed and I have to call them once again. After this whole experience, I do not recommend Air Canada Vacation because it does not offer a support service when you need them. They don't respect their **** ***** obligations and you will waiste your time on the phone with employees who has been clearely instructed to not help you if it cost them. I will never use their service again.
