Hire this contractor for landscape work for our new built house (to do concrete driveway, steps, walkway and patio and gazebo) 4 of our neighbors also decided to hire him so he can do their work at same time. We gave him detailed contract for our property and priced agreed was $68,000 all in and initially paid him 50% of the amount so he can order material and start. During the process - the city enforcement officer came **************************************** and notified us that he never applied for the permits he claimed he did for the job. ************************************************************************************************************************************************* This cost us ********* to work with city to get approvals on our own. The concrete work he did were ********. Our front steps started cracking after few months of winter. When he claims he will come to do work he is no show. He doesn't answer his phone when you need him and constantly ************** he didn't show up. We ************* paid him a lot of money to get started to get the work done and now dealing with him ignoring us and telling us we can go elsewhere *****************************************************. He took the money and now doenst care to come to finish the work we hired him and refuses to refund it back to us. He told us when we hired him he had a large crew and owned all his equipment so he could handle all of our houses and then we learned he had only 4 guys working for him all related and he doenst own any equipment. *************************** his work is ********. ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** He owes us at least $25,000 of this back as he has not completed the work and is not making himself available to complete the work we hired and paid him for or deliver the material for the job .
