writing to formally complain to Honda Canada for the very poor service (well....ZERO service actually) received yesterday at a scheduled / booked maintenance appointment at Dow Honda on Colonnade Road in Ottawa. The previous owner of my 2005 Accord highly recommended Dow Honda for the car's service needs, I booked an appointment a few weeks ago, waited, dropped off car at 930am July 12 2021 and was told I would receive updates from Honda re. the maintenance work and pre-approval calls for any parts and installation costs not anticipated By 1pm I had not heard anything, so I called and was told that the car had "not gone in yet" - I called again after 3pm - same answer. I returned to the establishment at 445pm (they close at 5pm) and I saw my car in the lot outside. Our Service Manager ******** **** reached out to the customer and apologized for the confusion and inconvenience. There was an in-depth conversation on how we can be of further assistance, the customer has since then booked an appointment follow-up for the 22 September 2021.Initial Complaint

I would like Honda Canada to respect its warranty and either repair once again the paint defect (same place as last year) - note that i. Note Honda had initially noted that their records indicated that the hood on my new Honda had been repainted – a Honda official then confirmed that I was not aware of this – hence my going to Dow Honda where I purchased the vehicle to enquire about this – the defect in the paint has now resulted in rust starting on the vehicle. I am concerned that the hood was repainted without my knowledge as I purchased a new vehicle - hence the ongoing issue with the paint defect...Honda attempted to repair this last year but the same issue came back and now i am not getting any response from Dow Honda or Honda Canada - I have been vey patient throughout this process - but now the paint defect is rusting and expanding. I just want Honda to respect its warranty as they have noted this is a manufacturer's defect.Customer response

I did finally get a response from Honda – who are now taking care of the warranty issue – i have noted my disappointment and frustration with Honda for having to file a complaint in order to get some action on a clear warranty issue.
