  We recently completed a large 6 months renovation on our home with the help of OGC. The renovation included the whole main floor and basement, and we are very pleased with the results!From the design to the purchasing to the construction... *** provided an exceptional customer experience.I terms of the scope of the project, our home is a 1990s bungalow and we wanted to open it up, renovate the kitchen, all bathrooms, bring the laundry upstairs to a newly created mudroom and update the flooring, ceilings, and lighting throughout. We had a couple of surprises along the way when the walls were opened up, but our project manager ****, kept us updated and informed. Communication was top notch! **** posted daily updates and pictures on the *** portal of the progress being made so we were never left wondering what had happened that day. This was very important to us as we were not living in the house and not in a position to frequently stop by.The quality of work is excellent, and the whole team remained professional at all times. Along with ****, I also worked very closely with ******* who helped me choose the fixtures and source the materials needed. She is SO organized, I just loved that! She was a huge help, narrowing down our choices, providing different options for different price points and then letting us make the final selections. She listened to our wants and needs and understood what we were trying to achieve.OGC's process really worked, you know exactly what you are paying for with each change order, there wasn't a feeling that we were just writing one big blank cheque... everything was accounted for and there were no surprises. The invoices were very clear.Bottom line, I would recommend *** without reservation and we would hire them all over again. We are very excited to enjoy our new home just in time for the summer! A very big "Thank you" to the whole team!

  The renovation was very well done. There were some issues along the way, but their commitment to quality and to customer service meant that these issues were dealt with and other incentives were provided. The design and sourcing of materials were very well done!

  Thank you *** for the job well done. My husband and I are very happy and enjoying our new renovated Kitchen and Bath. Since the project started until it was done we didn't have any stress with how ***** managed. He is a down to earth guy and did a great job. We are so happy and proud of him. I say OGC is lucky to have him he knows what he is doing, pointed things to perfection that's why we didn't have stress til project is done and we are happy. It must be nice for the workers if they see their names here that we are proud of them too on how they did their job well but since i didn't memorize all their names it will be unfair to those few i have their names and put in here. OGC, with all these great workers you have pls don't let go any of them??. I knew they are under contractors but i witnessed how they did their job i say they are great workers to keep. I also say from demolition, framing, drywall, putting up between 600-800+lbs beam for ceiling support, tiling, electrical, plumbing, painting and final cleaning crew they were all professionals. I can't believe how the two guys took the beam from the lawn and put it in the ceiling with no ding or damage to the wall or floor bec of the weight, very professional! Nobody repeated a job, they made sure that they did their job right the 1st time. Nice to hear from a worker saying they go home with a good sleep bec they were honest and confident of the work they did. They also tidied up and cleaned their mess before leaving the work area, they were respectful and great workers.We are not good in the selection of items we want but with the help of ******* in the office and also ****** at **************** we were able to picked what we like and we are happy how all turned out. We are confident that the project was done all to code because inspections were done before doing the next step. If we have another house to fix surely we use OGC again bec of this great experienced. Again Thanks ***. Overall we are happy!

  I recently completed a major renovation with Ottawa General Contractors (OGC), and I couldn't be happier with the results. The project lasted over six months and involved significant structural changes, including removing a load-bearing wall and installing a beam to create a more open layout in the kitchen-living-dining area. They also reconfigured my upstairs floor plan to give me a beautiful master bedroom with an ensuite and a walk-in closet—exactly what I had envisioned. Throughout the process, my Project Manager ***** demonstrated exceptional project management skills. He coordinated and sourced highly skilled tradespeople, ensuring every phase of the renovation was completed to a high standard. Communication was clear, and he did a great job resolving unexpected issues that arose. I especially appreciated the flexibility OGC allowed me with scope. They were more than willing to accommodate my change requests and were willing to leave a few areas unfinished so that I could complete them myself—I love having a project around the house!   We were very pleased with the renovations to our kitchen and family room. At all times, from the initial contact with the sales person, to the design team, the materials selection, the actual construction, and the final walk through and clean up, our needs and questions were always promptly and professionally addressed. As expected, there was disruption to our lives, and glitches that had to be addressed on the spot, but everything was resolved to our satisfaction. We were also pleased that there were no great surprises with regards to keeping to the original cost estimate. We would unreservatively recommend Ottawa General Contractors to anyone requiring home renovations.

  We had an ensuite and Walk in Closet renovated and designed. OGC completed the job down to every detail. They were communicative and efficient bringing in skilled trades and staff. Very happy. Highly recommend.

  We recently completed a major 3-story addition to our home with Ottawa General Contractors, and we’ve been very pleased with the results! From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, their professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout the process. The team took the time to thoroughly understand our vision for the addition and offered valuable input throughout the design process to ensure that the the end result was both functional and aesthetically pleasing while taking into account our various changes and answering our many questions. The project itself was complex, involving multiple floors, structural modifications and custom finishes, but Ottawa General Contractors handled it all from start to finish. They managed the timeline well with only minimal delays and presented various solutions to any problems that were encountered. The crew and various subcontractors were hardworking, respectful and always left the worksite clean and organized. We were continually impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship, in particular the moulding work from ****** which perfectly matched the original and existing work in the home. The final result exceeded our expectations in every way—beautiful, well-constructed and perfectly aligned with the vision we had for our home. The addition complements the original structure, and we’re thrilled with how it turned out. What truly stood out was the response to any concerns or issues that were raised or that was encountered. A special shoutout to ****** who managed the project and who truly appreciated the finer details of what we were hoping to achieve. He’s been great at responding to any concerns that we have since the project has closed which has been very much appreciated. Truly a great guy! Overall, we highly recommend Ottawa General Contractors for any home renovation or construction project.

  *** renovated my 1987 kitchen in 2022. They removed a load bearing wall, installed a beam in its place and refinished and installed new hardwood floors throughout the ground floor. There were a lot of delays initially as with most renovations especially during COVID, however the job was completed professionally, and I continue to receive lots of compliments about my kitchen. A few weeks ago, I noticed a couple of cracks in the ceiling and walls and figured it would be due to the house settling after the removal of the load bearing wall and beam installation in 2022. I called *** and they sent a team within days to check it out. They fixed all the cracks in the wall, repainted the entire ceiling at zero charge to me. One of the painters pointed out that one of the ceiling cracks was due to poor strapping which is unrelated to the beam installation. Nevertheless, *** did not charge me for this even though I would have been on the hook since it was not their fault.I would like to add that due to some poor communication with one of the plumbers they had hired at the time of the reno, I had a water pump that never worked like it was supposed to. *** fully refunded me, which I appreciate for both their after-market warranty and also for their honestly that there was a problem with the installation that couldn't be fixed.I would hire them again based on the customer service I received during and after the renos.

  We worked with Ottawa General Contractors on an addition and renovation. We added a new master bedroom and renovated 2 existing bedrooms - making one into a home office. We replaced all flooring on the main level, and updated windows and all exterior lighting. The entire *** team were very professional and accommodating. From planning to materials selection to project execution, everyone we dealt with was attentive and customer-focused. All of our questions and concerns were addressed promptly and with ************ was a very positive experience, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend *** to others.

  We engaged *** to completely renovate two bathrooms (including replacing the ensuite tub with a huge walk in shower), update the kitchen (cabinets, floor, sink and coffee bar) and new flooring throughout the basement, foyer and guest bath. The design, materials and project management team provided excellent advice and oversight of the project. The Project Manager in particular kept things moving and resolved the few issues that came up (material delays and trades scheduling) in a calm and professional manner. In addition to using experienced, skilled trades persons, OGC provided highly skilled painters and carpenters to put on the finishing touches that made the project shine. They were flexible to our additional requests as the project proceeded with the end result better than we had originally planned and within a reasonable price range. We would recommend *** to others.
