      In very short words. June 7th 2021, contract signed and 2900$ paid to have the outside of my house painted. Tok it would start July 5th. To my surprise after many many emails. Some being ignored they pushed the date insane amount of times. excuses such as no staff, sick calls, weather, and covid. I was ****************** patient for the first 2 months. Eventually as it's now October ******************** Finally by august 3rd. They sent painters. ***************************** They spilt paint in the grass. Got paint on the lamps, my sons pool. The deck & windows &brick . Not to mention they broke the siding. They admitted they never even painted a house before. After painting half the house with one coat they never showed up again. Until about the end of September. Same excuses on the daily. ***************************** they blocked my number, ignored me. ********************************************************************************************************** The won't finish!!!!

      August 23, 2021 Kitchen reno Everything is left unfinished as per pictures Said they would send a crew, only one guy showed up Monday to Thursday and Friday they sent out 2 people and then again on Monday, because I called and complained that the work was not going to be finished. I have emailed them and they have stated that they will send someone out to finish the job, they did send out the crew manager and he took lots of pictures ****************************************************

      Signed contract March 22, 2021 for $24,500 Paid between March 24 and May 25 $19,131. They scrapped the lawn off leaving bare soil. City of St. Catharines sent me notice in July to clean weeds that where overgrown on exposed soil. JD lawn was to sod after installation of 950 sq ft concrete they installed 105 sq. ft. and installation of fence nothing done. Said problems with Covid and rain from April to September reason for not doing work. Had tenant leave upper apt. for day so they could paint stairs (only entrance to apt.) They painted upper half of stairs said they run out of paint. They said more than once they would pour concrete next day but forming not started or gravel to pour concrete therefore impossible to pour. Also said ground too wet to pour but weather was clear sunshine for 4 straight days. No one on site for over a month to date.

      I moved into my home on Aug 24 and replaced countertops in Kitchen and washrooms. I contacted JD Home and Lawn on Aug 25 to install faucets, shower heads and other fixtures in kitchen and washrooms. They sent 2 assessors to my house on the same day to look at the scope of work. They called me on the same day and provided a quote of $680 + tax for a full day's work. I signed the contract the next day, Aug 26 and e-transferred 50% of the cost which is $384.20. They were to send the plumber(s) on Friday, Aug 27 in the morning at 9am for a full day's work. On Friday, Aug 27 after multiple calls a lone plumber shows up at 4pm without any tools required to complete basic installation and left after that. Since then no one has showed up or contacted me. I have asked them to cancel the contract and refund my money for services not provided and they are refusing to refund the money.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/01) */ Customer signed a contract for installing faucets. This takes approx an hour or two. Plumber came but customer had not purchased as directed the items ( materials) required. Client was responsible for the materials as without we cannot proceed with the work, customer was aware of this. Plumber was there half a day trying to figure out but customer had not purchased the connected required. This was on a Friday . Customer was aware we don't work on weekends and had the weekend time to purchase all materials and items to finish the job. Plumber was scheduled to return on Monday, client called Monday to inform they don't require our services anymore. Customer had up to Monday not purchased the materials as per their direction they wanted us to purchase and reimburse us. As we have had not agreed to this, ********************** ****************************** Unfortunate a refund is not rendered as we have had our plumber at her property and he started to work, while he couldn't complete as client did not purchased the items necessary to complete the job. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/09/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The Business is lying. I had all the faucets, bidets and shower heads required to install. It was job that required atleast 5 hours. Two people including one, whose name is Jenny came to my house on Wednesday, Aug 25 to assess what was required, at which point I had informed them that I had all the faucets, bidets and shower heads to be installed. I even told them that since I am not a plumber I wouldn't know what other materials would be required to install the faucets, bidets and shower heads and that the plumber should advise and purchase which would be duly reimbursed email ******** that states this. The plumber showed up after 4pm on Friday, Aug 27, which is almost close to end of day see my email sent on Friday at 3pm enquiring when the plumber will be arriving at my property. The plumber even informed me that he was not told by the company what work was required and he was apologetic that he was not equipped to finish the job. He said he would go back to the company and tell them what is required and try to come back at 9am on Monday (see my email sent at 6pm on Friday). No one bothered to contact me on Monday morning and when I called them at around 9:30am, I was told that someone was going to get in touch with me by noon. Which meant no one was scheduled to come to my house on Monday morning. I still waited until noon for someone to call me which didn't happen. Therefore, I had no other option but to cancel the service as they didn't care (see email correspondence). I had to engage another ******** service so I could get the faucets, bidets and shower heads working. The other plumber came to my house on Tuesday, Aug 31 with the equipment a plumber would usually have and installed everything in my house. He came to my house at 9:30am and left after 2:30pm which was almost a full day's job. JD Home & Lawn have taken $384 for not even lifting a finger. ************************** I even have call records on my phone to show that I initiated the call on Monday morning and they didn't even bother to call to check on me (customer). **************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
