Took vehicle to north bay mitsubishi. First it was battery, then fuel exchange then engine. Was told battery changed. Nothing done. At different mechanic. 2 litres of oil, too much, in engine. Battery not replaced. Was lied to as soon as car taken in. Engine is repairable. Still have a 1.5 years warranty on car. Mitsubishi canada wouldn't do anything. What kend pf mecjanic puts too much oil in engine? Last oil change, year ago, dpne at north bay mitsubishi. When i first took car in, the next day i get a text from salesman trying to sell me new car. This business needs to be looked at. I honestly believe they were trying to warranty **** me. I dpn't even know if the last time oil change was done if they even did anytging besides putting too much oil in my engine. Not impressed. Warranty a joke. They shouldn't be allowed to treat customers like this.Business response

Thank you for the feedback, however, the content is not completely accurate. The battery was tested as per manufacturers requirements and did not require replacement and as such was serviced and recharged at no charge to the customer. Mitsubishi Canada will not replace the battery under warranty as at the time of testing it was within proper specifications and was not required and as such not warrantable. This would have been the context of the conversation with the customer from the dealership and the Mitsubishi Canada at that time. As for "too much oil a year prior". Every oil change we perform is measured to manufacturers specification and filled a to avoid the potential for this to happen. Most recently the customer dropped the car off without an appointment and towed it to a non Mitsubishi affiliated shop as she did not want to wait for a proper diagnosis. As such we are unable to determine if there was or was not a warrantable problem. As per the customers request we have noted her file for no contact at the dealer level.Initial Complaint

I was driving and had a light come on saying transmission service required. It seemed like my transmission was not changing gears and had no power. Previous the rpms were jumping up and down as well. Towed to north bay, 4 days go by they replace the filter and transmission fluid and tell me to pick it up. I ask if it was test drive they said yes, I drive 10 minutes down the road and same issue. Bring it back, they end up having to replace the transmission, supervisor says I will get a refund for service on multiple occasions because the whole transmission had to be replaced under warranty. I never get a refund, manager says they won’t give a refund. I paid for parts and service that did not fix the problem and should be reimbursed. I also was promised a call back multiple times over the 3 weeks that had my vehicle, and didn’t hear from anyone, I was left without a vehicle for the entire time with no offer of rental. I could not get any answers to questions I had in relation to the service or what was being done to my vehicle. I still have not heard back after the manager said he would look into the refund I was promised. They also noted the incorrect mileage on the original service I paid for.Business response

****** ******* was advised of the cost of the Transmission Service and did approve the work to be performed which is outlined in her Service Maintenance Schedule and is to be performed before and Manufacturer's Warranty failed component and is what we as a Dealership have to follow. The Transmission was deemed a failure after taking several attempts to diagnose. ****** was given the Mitsubishi Canada Hotline number to plead her case to Mitsubishi Canada as we had already done so as well. Again Mitsubishi Canada Customer Relations ************
