I had a car accident on Feb. 2nd and my car was towed to Le Towing. in North Bay. My insurance company (**********) has been trying since that day to get my car released, unfortunately they have been unable to negotiate with Le Towing to get my car out of impound. This happened in North Bay, where I was presently visiting. I live in Elora, ON, however I will be moving to North Bay on April 28th. Because my car has not been released from the towing yard, they are unable to proceed to have it repaired. I will be heading back to my home in Elora, unfortunately without my vehicle, at some point. I'm not sure where the problem lies here, i.e. with Le Towing or with ********* Ins. I ******** will be responding to this complaint, because it was I who dealt with ********** Insurance.
First let me tell you that the first time we heard from ********** Insurance was through an email on February 8th, 2022 asking for a breakdown of the cost, not on the February 2nd, 2022 like ***** ****** said. I was going back and fourth with the insurance to explain them our fee's and they where trying to low ball my prices, which I may add it's the same all across the board with all towing companies. The owner of the vehicle said in question never called us at Le Towing to ask us what was going on. We did not hold ***** ****** vehicle hostage. We did released the vehicle the same day and an other company who is registered to tow insurances release vehicle came on February 9th, 2022 to come and get it. So we do not have her vehicle. I have all the conversations with the insurance in my email and would be happy to provide them. Tow fees are non negotiable, and it was the insurance who prolonged the procedure. Thank you.
