I have been a loyal Tangerine customer for years and hold a ********** with them. Recently, Tangerine placed a block on my card without any prior notification. After attempting multiple purchases and even adding funds to the card, I realized there was an issue and contacted their customer service. During the call, I was required to verify every recent transaction. Although they eventually unlocked my **********, I received another call shortly after from a different representative who informed me that security measures were in place due to unusual activity. I had to explain several transactions and their amounts. I clarified that I rarely use this debit card, with only one regular transaction on the first of each month for $615 and a monthly child tax deposit of approximately $305. Despite my explanations, the representative questioned me about a $200 transaction, which I had transferred from my line of credit to my checking account and then to my **********. When I explained that I don't frequently use this card, the representative implied that I should have provided this information earlier. Throughout this process, Tangerine failed to communicate why my ********** was blocked, and their approach made me feel like a suspect for not recalling every transaction. Due to this experience, I have decided to close my accounts with Tangerine and switch to another bank.Review from Meaghan B

* ***** **** **** * ***** ** * ****** When calling 10+times from late last night to early morning and then mid day the workers do not follow through with calling back to help unlock ** ******** account and hold his money *******. Not only that but the bank system went down when we needed to pay our bill at a bar . We really are done with this poor customer service . ***** **** *** ********* From opening the account to closing the account. I was with them for a total of 6 months, and I had so many issues, from fraud to even getting and activating the new debit card which they sent by mail except they refused to send me confirmation of the "money owing" due to a fraud investigation whose transaction was reversed without my knowledge. My address or phone number has not changed and they refused to call me or write me by mail to advise that they reopened my account and reversed the money they gave back to me for the fraudulent investigation. I attempted to call them multiple times but they of course refused to assist me. Today is when I was basically forced to answer questions to do a soft check on my credit with ********** just for them to give me the information about the accounts I requested to be closed, that they confirmed to me, they had reopened without my knowledge. When I requested they send me the recording of the call, they submitted a complaint because I requested to speak to a manager. They kept saying I owed 144.51$, the amount that was reversed into my closed account that they reopened without any contact to me. They refused to send me anything written even at my request. The manager Isaiah then said I owe, but couldn't handle my questions and said, I no longer owe then gave me an email to request the recording of the call. * **** * ****** **** ** **** **** *** ***** They put my husband and me through a living hell transferring our mortgage. That happened last July we ended up homeless for over a week. Finally we got our house. We could have lost it, if the seller hadn’t been amenable. I am client at Tangerine for many years. Did transactions in thousands of dollars. Recently I tried to transfer several thousands of dollars from my Tangerine account to another bank. This was an EFT. Instead of transferring my money to another bank as requested, these Tangerine ********* tried transfer thousands of dollars from my another in to my account at Tangerine !! Complete reversal of my request. Made a complete mess of my whole account. Made me stay on the with Tangerine for more than 4 hrs, Even then they would not accept their fault. ** *** **** ** *** **** they were demanding $7.50 from me as NSF !! ***** ****** ****** ******* *** ***** *** *** * ****** ***** **** ******* **** **** **** *********** It is their duty to apologize to me for their screw up, not demanding a penalty from me. ***** **** **** **** **** *****Review from Sam J

Tangerine is irresponsible *** ****** ** ******* with your money. *** ***** ** ************ ** ******* I asked them to transfer my money to my other financial institution about a month ago. ** *** *** ******* *** the worst customer service experience ever… **** **** ********** If you believe you should have access to your funds, ** *** **** **** *********** Once you deposit your funds they put a 5 day hold on the funds even though it’s a bank transfer directly from your account. Once that hold is over they place another hold on your funds for further “security” checks, for an additional 5+ days. **** ** ****** ***** *** **** ****** ** ****** ***** I’m still trying to get my money. 3hrs on hold just today… In total 27.5 hours of being on hold… just to open a Savings account. ***** ******* * **** **** ***** *******
