Please be advised there was an account placed in collections for the City of Ottawa for an unpaid fine. The account was sent back as it remained unpaid.
I have removed this from your ********** credit bureau. It may take up to 14 days for that to reflect, and possibly longer on 3rd party apps such as ****** *****.
Thank you, Pasquina

They are doing collection for ***** ****** closed un paid accounts. Hydro reported some accounts which are not even mine for collection. Mr. *******
It was explained to you by our client, ***** ****** that based on you owning the properties where the utilities bills had originated from and your participation in the Landlord Reversion program that the accounts sent to our office for collection were legitimate.
We had sent notice to you on all accounts immediately once they sent to our office. After the 7-day holding period, we began reaching out to you on your phone number. We spoke to you directly on 11/29/2023 and advised you of the accounts in our office. This would have been prior to any credit bureau implications.Regardless of the legitimacy of that accounts owing in your name, ***** ****** has requested that we remove the collection items from your personal credit report and change the names of all accounts to reflect your business name. We have completed this and removed the 3 collection items you have referenced as of 04/05/2024.
This process takes 10 business day to reflect on your end. If you are checking from ****** ***** or ********* it takes longer to update.Mark H*** | Operations Manager

Credit agency contacted about a debt I was unaware of. I asked them for proof of the debt to verify. Said they would have it in 24-48hrs. No proof. They call about 10 days later asking for payment. I again ask for proof of the debt and am told they don’t have it and I’ll have to just pay it or they will post it on my credit report. I pointed out they can’t because I’ve asked for proof of this debt and for all I know they aren’t even a legitimate company and this isn’t a legitimate debt. I was transferred to a manager who I once again asked for proof of the debt and was told they didn’t have proof. I told the manager that in that case they couldn’t do anything until they proved the debt. He agreed and told me that he would be placing the file on hold until they could get proof to me. I still haven’t received any correspondence with proof. Today I checked my credit report and they have added it to my credit report. This company has not verified or proven this debt to me as required by law, and as such needs to remove the collection notice off my credit file.Business Response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:This is not an accurate response. You suggested i could contact ***** ****** as you did not have a copy of the debt to verify the debt, but under the law, when requested you must verify the debt, which you did not and to date have been unable to do so. ***** ****** has also confirmed they do not have a record of working with you and the period in question was during their labour disruptions when many people did not receive bills, including myself.
Further to the conversation we had earlier this evening, and to which your manager agreed, your company had made a mistake in reporting to the credit agencies. I wish to have it in writing that you will be removing the report you placed on my credit file from all credit reporting agencies. and that you will be training your agents on the law surrounding reporting practices, as their current practice is both inaccurate and predatory in nature, **** ** ***** *** ******* ***** **** ********* *****

Dispute Regarding Erroneous Negative Report my report on my credit history by A-1 Credit Recovery & Collection Services Inc. on behalf of **** ****** ****** (Accounts ********** and ***********). I demand A1 Credit IMMEDIATELY remove the negative report from my credit as I do not owe nor have any business with them and their partner. I make bold to say that the balance for both closed accounts was paid in full and on time, both accounts were closed, and my ****** services needs were provided by **** ******. After the closure of **** ****** ********, **** erroneously continued to bill me for services that I never signed up for, nor received. **** ignored all efforts to correct them. I am challenging this incorrect payment record reported by A1 on behalf of **** ****** *****a. **** ****** contracts ended in Nov 2022, and I requested they be terminated immediately. Despite requesting cancellation through ****'s online chat service and receiving assurance, the services weren't canceled. In January 2023, inflated final bills were auto-paid. **** continued billing until April 2023, resulting in double billing. Note that at this point, I DO NOT have any services with ****, but with ****. Also, note on the statements that **** auto-deducts previous payments and continues to retain this right. However, because the final bills were paid and closed, they feared they could not legally withdraw funds from my account for non-existing accounts and services. **** ******* ********** ***** ** *************Business Response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response for the following reasons: Prior to lodging this complaint, I had already reached out to A-1 Credit to clarify that I hold no contract with them. Additionally, I explained the nature of the services I received from ****, emphasizing how payments were consistently made on time through automatic transactions, and noted that the contract was concluded with no outstanding balance. However, subsequent to the termination of services, **** introduced a new set of bills, even though my ****** services are now managed by ****. My attempts to communicate this issue did not receive any response. As such, revisiting the same contact point seems futile. I adamantly demand that A-1 Credit and **** immediately rescind the negative report from my credit history and add me to their 'Do Not Contact for Business' list. I would also like to highlight that during the contract period, I was never behind on any payments. This situation is absurd.
Sincerely,
