I purchased three pieces of sofas on Boxing Day 2023, with the expectation that they would be delivered in January 2024, as promised by your staff at the time of purchase. In January, I called Leon's to inquire about the delivery status and was connected to your salesperson, He informed me that the delivery had been delayed and would occur in February. In February, after still not receiving the sofas, I went to the store and spoke to Jamal again. He assured me that the sofas would be delivered by the end of March or the beginning of April. However, by May 19th, we had still not received our furniture. My wife called Leon’s and, after being hung up on twice and placed on hold for 30 minutes, I personally visited the store and spoke with the store manager, promised to resolve the issue and call me within two weeks. Unfortunately, he failed to follow through on this promise. On Friday, May 3rd, I called Sean, who then informed me that the furniture would not arrive until the end of June. This additional delay is unacceptable. I requested to cancel the order and be provided with alternative sofas, but Sean stated that canceling the order would incur a 25% restocking fee. The service we have received is far below acceptable standards. The repeated delays, lack of communication, and refusal to provide a satisfactory solution are highly **************. We have been extremely patient and cooperative, but our patience has its limits. I purchased the *** ***** 3-piece Queen Storage Bedroom Package from Leon's Furniture in Kitchener, Ontario in January 2024, spending nearly $3000. My experience has been a nightmare due to defective pieces and poor customer service. Defective Products: The dresser I currently have has an irreparable chip on the top. The bed had damages midway through assembly, requiring multiple disassemblies and reassemblies. Delivery Issues: I had to wait at home seven times for delivery and a technician to fix a damaged drawer, with some deliveries not arriving as scheduled. Inconsistent Policies: During the last dresser exchange, I found it damaged, and spoke with the warehouse manager, who promised another exchange if they took back the dresser the same day. That day, I emailed customer service, requesting a final exchange under the condition that if the next dresser was also damaged, I would get a full refund. They initially confirmed this via email but went back on their word when I responded to confirm. Customer Service Disappointment: Throughout this seven-month ordeal, Leon's customer service has been highly disappointing. They have not delivered items in good condition nor honored their promises. Their lack of consistency and reliability has been incredibly frustrating. ***** ******** *If you want, we can definitely set an exchange date for the dresser, and you can inspect it while we deliver at your home. If the dresser comes with some damage, then we could not set up an exchange for the dresser. We can offer in-store credit for the entire bed set or a refund or reselection. No exchange for the dresser after this time. I do not want in-store credit, as I do not need anything else. I just need a complete, undamaged bedroom set as originally purchased. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with Leon's Furniture, and I cannot recommend their products or customer service based on my experience.Review from Mike P

*** * ** **** ****** The Leon’s in Kingston Ontario is my problem. Months and months of waiting for furniture I paid upfront for. No calls to explain. No call backs when I leave messages. Head office tried to get me to customer service but the call dropped mid message. When this gets resolved I will not purchase from a Leon’s again.Review from Jay F

We purchased a glass-top coffee table from Leon’s in Richmond BC that spontaneously shattered 17 months later. It took hours to clean up all of the splinters and my wife suffered a cut finger. In addition to the lost $400 for the table, we now have to pay $100 to get the carpet cleaned and a disposal fee for the heavy bag of shattered glass and the table base ruined with scratches. We were relieved that no one was in the room when the glass shattered. However, please note that we are not equipped to assess or repair any product concerns. Once a product is delivered or picked up, it falls under the factory warranty terms and conditions. Your Product was delivered/Picked up back in 2022 and manufacturer warranty is 1 year from the date a product is received by the customer. The store in Bancroft sold me an ******'s sofa that I discovered a month later was defective. They took the warranty information and pictures and said they submitted the claim but I didn't hear from them for months, not even replay to emails asking for a time frame for replacement. I then had to hunt the owner down and he finally agreed to pick it up and give me a refund. ****** ******* **** *** *** **** **** **** ******** **** *** ***** *** *********** We purchased beige leather couches less than a year ago, and purchased their warranty because we were sold on the fact that ALL stains and rips would be covered. My 4 year old daughter left a small piece of slime on the couch, that left a stain that will not go away. To our surprise, they are not covering it under warranty, since it's not "specified" to be included in their list. We would have never purchased these couches to begin with, and were hesitant to do so but the sales rep sold us that ALL stains and tears being covered, that we had nothing to worry about and we would have complete peace of mind which is dissappointing to say the least. They are offering as a goodwill gesture to send us a cleaning kit that we already have that didn't work, which is a complete slap in the face. They are also trying to say this is not their responsibility, and to deal with the third part warranty company rather than them. For the record, this is the only bad review I have ever written. Being a business owner myself, I always give people and businesses the benefit of doubt. Warranty was not respected. I had a faulty furinture during warranty that was bought at Leon's Laval, QC. I contacted customer service 5 months ago. They always say the parts did not arrive from the manufacturer. I guess an easy way to not honor the contract signed between me and Leon's. They are the one who sold me this manufacturer product. They should be responsbile for the warranty stated in the contract that I signed with them. I am really puzzled, confused, frustrated and disappointment with the way they handled my case. how can a company as big as Leon's do this!! How can they not respect the warranty stated in the contract in such manner. The whole furniture took 2 months to arrive,while a few parts now 5 months nothing arrive and they do not know when it will arrive, it could be 8 or 9 months or even a year or two, everything is very ridiculous!! bad service, not respecting the warranty stated in the contract is not a professional way at all. It is now April 25th and they still have no idea where the part is or how long it will take to get here. I have called several times to try and track it down but get brushed off. They said a manager will call me but they never call. I have asked to speak to a manager but they refuse to let me talk to anyone. They just don't seem to care. Purchased a couch and we were told 3-4 weeks wait because it’s coming from Ontario. I called to see the status of my order and was told that it’ll be another 8-9 weeks more waiting on top of the 3-4 weeks. Leon’s didn’t call us to let us know that this was happening. I spoke to some lady working there name Victoria, ***** **** ****. I asked for a refund, and I was telling her what happened and of course she said they don’t give any time frame, she didn’t sell me the couch, how will she know that there’s no timeframe mentioned when we purchased. We recently purchased a fridge from ***** but unfortunately it stopped working after only a few weeks. The store manger, **** was so helpful and arranged a tech to come out but he could not get it working so our replacement fridge arrived yesterday by a very efficient and pleasant delivery team. This could have been a very bad experience but because our salesperson and store manager where so helpful along with the very polite delivery men it turned into a positive ending.
