      May 30 2020 purchased a ******** refrigerator from ******* that came from J A K North America Inc appliance dealer. June 6, 2021 requested help with malfunction and was told the refrigerator was out of warranty except for parts Through the last year I have been working with J A K trying to find a resolution. There appears to be no repair person who will examine the refrigerator because of the brand/refrigerant. J A K North America could not find a repair person in my area as well. Finally, I was told I could buy a new replacement refrigerator at a company discount. I agreed and then was told they will not sell it to me because they no longer will sell to US customers. I have no way to repair or replace a refrigerator that malfunctioned almost one year to the day after purchasing. **********************************************

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/27) */ We do feel bad about this situation but the refrigerator is out of warranty and there are no servicers of r600a refrigerant in your area. It should be noted that all refrigerators are now required to use r600a refrigerant by the EPA due to its less harmful environmental properties. A new refrigerator was offered at factory pricing but due to the sale of the ******** brand to another party we are no longer allowed to sell ******** products legally. There are no other solutions that can be offered at this time. Consumer Response /* (3000, 9, 2021/11/02) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) 9/23 I was asked to accept offer of resolution of a refrigerator at a discounted price. I was given little information - for instance about shipping and receiving, would it be the same model, payment information, future warranty information, etc. I tried to call but received no response. I emailed my questions and responses were slow. 9/30 I was told "If you would like to move forward with the replacement I will have to process the order today." ON THAT SAME DAY 9/30 I responded with two emails clearly stating that I wanted to make arrangements to pay and receive the refrigerator according to their resolution agreement. I received no response. I wrote two more follow up emails totaling four requests over six days. October 7 I received and email that they would NOT honor the agreement of resolution.
