      I rent a hot water tank so they came and installed it tried to charge me extra saying it was a difficult installation until I told them I was a Plumber so I signed a 10 year contract so 3 or 4 years later the tank had to be replaced so they replaced the tank and now I find out when they replaced the tank the contract goes back to 10 years so they installed a defective tank the first time which I don't believe because the 2nd tank has the same issue now and the service guy is pushing for a power vent model ** * *** ** **** ****** **** ** ** ** **** **** ****** *** *** ***** ** ****** ******** I will be reporting them to the ministry

      ***** ****** *** ******** ******* **** ******** **** ******** I encountered serious issues with Reliance **** ********* ****** ** ***** *** It all started with a malfunctioning furnace, leading their technician to recommend a complete replacement along with a new AC unit. We trusted their sales representative, Fred, and purchased both. However, problems soon arose—the first furnace arrived dented and was repaired on-site by a hammer. Unsurprisingly, we demanded a proper replacement. The second unit, incredibly, also arrived damaged. Only the third furnace seemed intact, but mere days later, it began to leak. Another technician confirmed it was installed incorrectly. Despite capturing evidence and continuous attempts to resolve this with their installation manager, I've hit a wall of silence, aside from Fred securing the second furnace replacement and responding to my texts. Now, with no further follow-up, I’m contemplating canceling our contract in favor of a more reliable service.       I am a customer and very happy with Reliance BUT NOT LATELY!!! I thought and was convinced by the sales team to go with the smoke detectors ****** **** Protect......VERY BAD IDEA, ,,,,** *** ** **** ** *They lock you in a contract and do not give a hoot if your satisfied or not , do not let you know a deadline until its over and your stuck with a ******** product and EXPENCE on top of your monthly charges -they are not willing to resolve nothing ! Been at this for over 1 1/2 yrs telling them I am dissatisfied with the product and the chippering ** ** ********.... the disturbance in the home . UNBERABLE They send service person after service person and after all >>> THEY TELL ME I NEED TO BUY THE EXPENSIVE batteries . I informed them that NO WHERE ON MY CONTRACT AND I OBLIGATED TO BUY BATTERERIES AND THEY NEED TO SUPPY THEM.       Reliance takes your monthly payment for service. When you need them to come to fix a problem ..in my case a plug toilet…. They had me wait at home between 3pm to 8pm and they never showed up. I then had to pay for another plumber company to Rush in and had to pay 300.00 for 20 minutes. Then the next day I get a survey from Reliance on how the appointment went …**** *** ***** I gave them a zero on all of the survey questions. **** * ******** ******* ********* *******

      Took out a rental furnace and ac yr agreement in Sept 2017. In Aug/Sept 2022 I spoke to a agent twice about what the buyout would be for Sept 2024 and was given the amount of 4113.00 I have reference numbers for each call. I've called back to make the arrangements in June for the buyout and now I'm told it's now 6248.90 and they said there is nothing on file about my quote given to me in 2022. But they did tell me that they are allowed to change the price of any buyout by using THEIR fair market value. The people I've spoken to on the phone about this are rude and keep trying to extend my plan even tho it is ending buy reducing my payment by $30.00 a month. I've written a email to customer solutions and got a reply back stating that I owe $6248.90. I wrote back, giving my references numbers and even gave them other references numbers because I've called several more times since Aug/Sept of 2022 and asked what the buyout would be and obviously it was getting lower each time I called. I've written customer solutions twice since they relied back the first time, but now refuse to reply back to me now. I want this resolved ASAP as my contract is up on Sept 12 2024.

      ** * ***** ***** ***** ***** * ****** This company has been the thorn in my side since I bought my house that had this Water Heater on rental already. At the time I was more concerned with renovation than a silly heater not thinking anything of it. Until one day I decided to maybe get a bigger tank and that was a fiasco. All I wanted was a quote and they suddenly were sending a guy with a tank to my house - while I was at work - without any new costs or monthly charges. I cancelled that quick. Than they switched from billing through ******** to using their own name but never told me and I started getting late fee's and threatening collection calls. Took ME two months to sort out because they didn't seem to know how, even though it was their change. NOW my Tank expired. My Insurance stopped covering my basement. I've Paid over $1800.00 renting this thing so I went and BOUGHT a new one from the store for $700.00 - no more fees. and they tell me it's $300 for them to pick it up!!!! WHAT it's their EXPRIED tank. I've already overpaid renting it. **** **** ** ** **** ***** ******* **** * ********

      ******** Reliance take your money every month for rental and "service" in case something goes wrong. But when/if something actually does go wrong with the unit they're absent. You essentially buy a new water tank every year and half by paying the monthly fee, so might as well cancel the account and just buy a new one if it breaks down you'll save to s of money over the course of your home ownership. I've owned the home for 10 years if I had stayed with Reliance I would have paid them for 4 new water tanks just to hold the account, btw the water tank is still functioning... I called to cancel the account *****

      ******** ***** * my AC was leaking and I am paying for the protection plan since 2022. A technician arrived on August 8th, said the unit was frozen we must allow it to thaw and to run it at night. He said its an R22 and we will need a new AC. He left the cover off. At night we tried to put on the AC nothing happens, I made another appointment. The 2nd August 9th technician said it would not power because the cover was off the unit, which was due to the technician the night before who did not put the cover back on. 2nd technician would not inspect further said its a R22 unit they cannot assist. I tried to call the escalation department, Sandeep in customer service would not transfer my call at the call center. She said she was the highest I can go, she would email and request I receive an email back ( Sandeep was very **** ). I called back spoke to a kind gentleman who transferred me to Crystal in the escalation department, she told me that they can inspect my R22 AC, there should be no issue, also requested a senior tech to come out. She was very professional and helpful. Another tech came out on the 10th, I explained I need diagnostic done on my *** unit. Right away said I will need a new unit, did not inspect. I asked to check for clogs, he blew in the hose, stuck a screwdriver in the unit. He was proceeding to leave, I asked him for a report as I have to contact Reliance on Monday, he said the call center and I said no management. He told me to wait a minute and went into this van, 10 minutes later said he would check the temperature with his Gage on the actual unit. I asked him if the fluid is feron that is leaking, he said no its water which is in the report. He later stated again I need a new unit, and its a refrigerant leak.. I called today spoke with someone else in the escalation department, she spoke with a technical manager and he said I need a new unit. This is over the phone. The ombudsman *** will be contacted ** **** ** **** ********

      I sold my home, gave Reliance notice ahead, and they are still billing me. I paid out my furnance but buyers took on the water heater. I have asked 4 times for a full breakdown of the three charges on the furnace buy out - still no answer! ** *** **** **** **** ******* ** *** **** *** ****** ** ****  It will cost you not only financially but your time trying to get straight answers and having to redo over and over the same thing. ** ********** ********

      They are STILL not provided the explanation and breakdown of the costs for the payout of hte furnace and have not acknowledged that they have corrected and reversed the invoice sent in error. I am not at all impressed with their accounting system and lack of concern now that I am no longer a customer.

      Two visits by technicians. Problem unsolved. They come say the problem is getting iced and leave. Now it seems a ‘senior’ technician will visit tomorrow! ****** service very frustrating.
