This was a terrible experience. We first starated the quoting process in March of 2022. We agreed on the scope and price, and made a 10% deposit in May to hold our start date of June 20th with a 6-8 week schedule. June came and went with minimal communication. They only responded to our emails, never proactively notified us with updates. This went on for months as we were told another couple weeks all the way to October 4th when they finally started. They ended up subcontracting the entire job to another company and were just acting as the middle man. We were promised architects, interior designers, visits from the PM multiple times a week. The first PM we had cam maybe 3 times. There were no designers, we were just told to send **** ***** links and they would order. Every step of the construction seemed to go backwards and all the subs who came to work would say the same thing. The first PM was fired eventually, the second PM only lasted about 3 weeks before they were gone. We were constantly pushing them the entire project because there was no coordination or communication. We are now in week 16 of a 6-8 week schedule, we made our last progress payment on Feb 2, and they closed their doors on Friday the 3rd. They did not contact the clients. We only found out because none of the subs were paid and they came to our door Saturday morning looking for payment. We now have to hire another contractor and pay more money to complete this project. Very frustrated with this entire experience, but this final act of taking our money, not paying the subs, and closing their doors is the final straw. We were waiting till the end of our project to write our reviews and complaints so it didn't affect the performance on site. In some areas we didn't even get what we paid for. We wanted 36" wide doors, we got 30:, we wanted a black shower base, they gave us white. They were terrible from the get go.Initial Complaint

Hi, i signed a contraction with HighBridge Construction on 2023-01-23 for Architectural Drawings to build a coach house in my backyard. I gave 10% on 2023-01-24 (1,113$) and then after a few exchange with the the Architect I paid 40% (4,454$) more on 2023-02-01. Then on 2023-02-06 I get an email saying they closed business. I added their message on Appendix 1. They say they wont file for bankruptcy but the owner will. So I lost about 5,5k$, i did not received anything back, no money, no drawings. Google Map now shows the business is permanently closed. Nobody answer their phone. Appendix 1: /* After consulting with professionals, we have determined that the best course of action is to immediately cease business operations. We regret to advise that the company is insolvent and is no longer able to meet its day to day cash requirements. We have been forced into this position as a result of the covid pandemic and gross theft that occurred in the last half of 2021 and the beginning of 2022. The theft resulted in significant losses to the company. We originally believed that we would be able to work our way out of this. Knowing that we've dramatically affected people’s lives is something that we are utterly devastated by and something that we will live with for the rest of our lives. The company will not be voluntarily filing an assignment in bankruptcy as we are unable to pay the professional fees to complete same. Desired resolution, if they dont file for bankruptcy then who knows how they will distribute the value of the company, I'd like my money back or something of equivalent value. The work consisted of electrical work, and some cosmetic upgrades to bathrooms and flooring****** *********. The agreed upon work has changed over time. Some items were removed, and others were added. We have yet to see a finalized list from Highbridge. The work started in June, but so far only some of the work has been completed. Most of the work is poorly done or incomplete (damage to walls, incorrect tile). We are now in Oct. **** * **** *** ** *** ***** ***** ** *** *** *********** **** *** ** *****. They have taken 90% of the total estimated cost from us, but are making no effort to complete the work or provide us with a total of what has been spent to date. We have asked for a break down of costs which they have failed to provide, and they are not giving us any indication that the work will be complete. We have even gone as far as to source another contractor to complete the work for them, but without a guarantee that they will complete the work or refund us we are in limbo.Business response
