Date of Transaction - May 22, 2021 to hold spot for work Date of Work - July 19 - 30, 2021 Invoice amount $7915.65, paid 6915.65 Company committed to scraping the top layer of soil from the back yard, laying new top soil and sod. Nature of dispute - The backyard is now uneven, lumpy, puddling, does not drain properly. The ground was not graded before the sod was laid down and now every lump and bump is felt under the sod. There are large divets in the ground, that would not be there had the area been graded properly before hand. The business has tried to resolve the dispute by rolling the sod which is not making any change. No ownership was taken for the poor workmanship, and I was told I was expecting to much. They have said they will come back in the spring to roll again. If that does not work they will peel up the sod and add more dirt. At this point we have $1000 outstanding that I will not pay and do not want this company on my property again.Business response

We did scrape ,top layer and add 6yds top soil and graded before sod.We have seen no puddling and have asked for video and pictures when it rains.,NOTHING .Sod takes awhile to fully settle and root,they were told this.It has been rolled numerous times ,more soil was added to one area that had sunk.Homeowner had also said there was drainage issues here berfore.We told her we stand by our work and will work with them until they were satisfied,I told her to hold back the $1000.00 until the spring to make sure that over the winter the sod had settled and they were satisfied,THIS IS OWNERSHIP !The work is not poor ,in 20 years we have worked along side our customers and now this...
Yesterday Oct 19 we sent our employee over to roll again after 10-15mm at least of rain over the weekend ,there was no puddles or squishiness ,I had asked for pictures of anything he found ...nothing.This is when the client contacted you...after we still told her we would be back in the spring.

I am rejecting this response because:As we have mentioned and shown no less than 6 times in person, the issue is not the sod it is with the improper grading and installation of the sod. The ground was graded and smooth before any work was done in the backyard, now the ground under the sod is uneven. That is the point that we have tried to communicate and show in person. Rolling will not remove uneven ground that should have been graded. Coming back in the spring to roll will not change anything as it hasn’t for the last 4 times. By peeling up and adding soil at this stage will damage the sod that has now taken root to the uneven ground. This should have been done at the end of July when the concern was first mentioned. Or within the first 2 weeks after it was done. Or at the end of August when I was told I was just expecting to much. Taking ownership of an issue is acknowledging in person as was done on September 4 by the business owner and then actually sending the email as was promised so that it was in writing. We extended trust that rolling would resolve the unevenness, after 4 attempts it is clearly evident that it will not resolve it. There is no path forward to resolve this issue with the business and we wish for no further contact.

There was full grading and sod installation completed,yes there were divots once the soil settled and soil added.Also a very large sink hole was found during excavation ,we added big o ,drainage stone,soil at no cost. We met ,listened and rolled and have always said we would continue to fix to make them happy .
on sept the 4th when i was there to follow up and listen again.
I felt that we would continue to work with the home owner ,but after the last visit she changed her mind. I made sure to give her warning my worker would be on her property!
We are sorry that they are unhappy with it, but we have offered to fix it.
- July went to add dirt and asked for videos and pictures from home owner.
2 weeks later went to check sod again and asked home owner to water more and asked again for the videos.
