Hired Bytown Fence to install a PVC fence for myself and my neighbours. We were very pleased with the entire process. The site visit was very informative and detailed, which gave us a lot of reassurance. The office staff was very helpful in answering our questions & the crews worked above and beyond to build our fence. I had about 150 feet of cedar fence installed by Bytown Fencing in August 2014, and initially was I happy with the look of the result. For the installation, I was told that the posts would be in cement to just below the surface of the earth. Unfortunately, I was away during most of the construction and did not see it completed. Within a few years, I noted that some of the supporting posts were very loose in the ground and moved exceptionally far in any wind for being held in cement. This fence connected to an older section that is still rock solid after 15 years. Last Fall, I dug out one of the posts, and found no sign of cement in the first two plus feet. Pictures available. The posts also showed clear sign of wastage and rotting. Much of the fence now blows freely back and forth with the wind and will soon fail catastrophically if nothing is done. The fence is not yet 10 years old. I believe that the installation was done to a poor standard, cutting corners on cement. Shortcuts appear to have greatly shortened the life and quality of the fence. The installation was not done to the standard of a top-quality service provider, described in your website as cement footings going down ************************************************************************************************************************** your website.

Bytown Fence's two man crew did an incredible job in repairing our fence that was damaged in a recent catastrophic windstorm. It required the removal of multiple fence panels, removal of 6 old posts, installation of 6 new posts and re-installation of the fence panels. The work was done in an expedient, (1 day) and professional manner. Cleanup of the site was thorough.
