***** **** *** ******* Ordered free range chicken legs was shortchanged. They state 4 or 5 legs pr package quite a few came with only 2. Ordered 3 free range bone in hams and received non free range Virginia ham close to expired. Way better options out there. ********** ******* *** **** ***** *** *** **********

This customer is making incredibly libelous claims *** ** **** ****** *** *** *** ******* ******** ** *** *********** ** ***** *************** ****** *** ***** ** ** ****** ** ****** ******* ****** This is highly suspect, as we will demonstrate forthwith. All our products are sold by weight. Products are weighed on trade legal and calibrared scales before shipping. The hams provided were as per description, and were in fact slighty larger then described. All our pork is free range and claims otherwise are verifiably incorrect. All further prepared meats (such as ham) are legally required to have expiration dates, however if a product is frozen (as all our meat products are) this expiration date does not apply. All the above was explained several times. This customer became incredible abusive to our staff and demanded additional free product. When we refused to blindly refund or provide free product, the customer began a malicious campaign of extortion vis a vis false negative reviews. Ottawa Valley Meats made several attempts to communicate with this customer, but the customer has refused any communication unless we capitulate to extortion

I’ve been ordering from Ottawa Valley Meats for a year not out of loyalty but because my family has specific meat needs that at the time were met with OVM. Our first 2 orders came in a well, insulated package where the meat and fish were always frozen solid. After that, it went down hill with the service. They’re slow (2 weeks or more without a response) at providing details on when your order will arrive. When they do give you a date, it’s either late by a couple days or they only deliver half the package. They decided to take our money rather than telling us they couldn’t fulfill the order and told us that the meat would arrive “approx. 1 to 2 weeks”. However a month and a half goes by and they didn’t respond to 3 of our emails and only spoke to us when we called them. They are full of excuses: - we had to change the delivery method - we only deliver on these dates (process changed without communication) - the fish is “fresh” and that’s why it’s not frozen ... HEALTH RISK as we’re not close to Ottawa and reside in QC. We told them that we have high histamine allergies and that we need our produce flash frozen which they assured us They are a middle man and they aren’t the actual producers of the meat. ***** *** **** **** ******************************************************************************************************************************************** * ** *** ** ***** ******* ** ********* **** ****** **** ***** ** *********** *** ******* ** *** ********* ***** ** ************ ** ** ********** *** ******** ** ******* ******** ******* ******* **** **** ****** ******* **** ** *** ******* ****** ** ********** ****** ****** ***** ** ********* *** ****** ** ****** *** ***** ***** ********  They recently changed suppliers (the chicken looks steroid, tastes disgusting and the fish doesn’t come frozen!) This company is dishonest and pose a serious health risk by delivering meat and fish that aren’t frozen.

This reviews/comment is strife with libelous inaccuracies. We own plant provincial plant 202 in Chesterville, Ontario. We are a slaughter plant and invite anyone who things otherwise to come for a free tour. The quoted so called review has been proven to be posted by a disgruntled competitor. We do provide both fresh and frozen meats depending on supply. We follow all OMAFRA and CFIA regulations, including the chain of cold, and we ship in refrigerated vehicles.
