In June/21 I agreed to have my hot water tank that was rented by a different company replaced by Ottawa Home Services after one of their techs tagged it and said my gas would be turned off in the near future if I did not replace the tank. The tech was there for a different issue but tagged my hot water tank. He gave me the contact for his company (Ottawa Home Services) and said they could get me a new hot water tank. I called and agreed to have a new hot water tank installed by Ottawa Home Services. During my discussions with them I was told they would take out my old water tank and they would return it to the company I was renting from free of charge. All I needed to do was to get an Sub-Case number from the company, which I did, and Ottawa Home Services would take care of everything. The day of installing my new hot water tank arrived, Ottawa Home Services showed up and removed my old tank, and replaced it with a new one. While reviewing my ******** bill earlier this summer I noticed I was being billed for my new hot water tank, and also for the tank that was returned a year ago. I reached out to Ottawa Home Services and I was made aware that my old tank was not returned, it was still in their possession. They had forgot about it and did not return it. They acknowledged the error they had made, and agreed to pay the period I was charged for both tanks. I provided copies of my bills for a refund as they requested. After multiple attempts to confirm my old tank was returned, I finally got confirmation of this. Since then I have tried multiple time to contact them and they have stopped responding to my emails. August 15 was the last time I have heard from them. I have sent 6 emails in that time that have not been answered.Business response
