- May 15, 2023 - $7600 CASH Despite assurances y the Noble Paving sales rep that the company had a proven track record and had been around for over 15 years, despite guarantees that no payment (cash was never mentioned as a prerequisite) would be necessary until the job was completed according to the specifications that both parties agreed upon, despite assurances that a proper receipt and 15 year guarantee would be given upon final payment, such assurances and guarantees were completely false and made solely to sell the job. First, the driveway: What we expected. Because we were told Noble Paving had over purchased on their asphalt, ours would be commercial asphalt, so supposedly better but somewhat grainy. What we got. Two different types of asphalt. The front half of the driveway looks completely different from the back half. See attached photos. Second, the side walkway: What we expected. The agreement was that Noble Paving would remove the existing cement sidewalk, expand the area to be asphalted to within 12 inches of the fence and back to 6 inches from the back gate, remove whatever soil necessary to lay a proper 4-6 inch gravel bed, then lay asphalt over this bed to a depth of 3 inches once rolled. Where the driveway and the sidewalk blend together, was to be level, not requiring a step up as with the cement sidewalk. What we got. Only one section of the walk was broken up. It proved too much work so they simply paced over everything with some areas too thin and others too thick all due to improper preparation. They ramped asphalt up from the driveway to the now paved over sidewalk. See photos. Sales tactics and demands for CASH ONLY payment before the job was finished, were very aggressive and intimidating. Phone conversations with both the sales rep and the company owner have failed to make any progress at all. At least six neighbours are dissatisfied with their dealing with Noble and willing to tell their own stories..
