They knocked on my door and told me that this is a government program and that it's free. They never left any paperwork and I would like to cancel these contracts and remove the equipment based on unethical practices and false promises.Business response

Hello,
Please contact the company that sold you this piece of equipment, we were not the technicians, nor did we sell you anything. We merely allowed companies to use our financing option through UEI. I am sending an email to the company that sold that to you and will ask them to reach out so you guys can sort this out.
I am not sure why you filed with the *** before contact us by phone, I would have been able to give you this information much sooner. We will contact that company and ask them to reach out to you.

In Feb 2019 I had a full HVAC system sold to me by Supreme Energy representative ***** ******. As well as arranging the installation, ***** was to arrange for a complete enery audit for rebates resulting from this heating upgrade. After the installation I was unable to reach ***** for this audit as my calls went straight to voice mail and were never responded to. His lack of follow-up resulted in a loss of up to $2,450 in rebates. On Nov 10th 2019, I submitted a message to Supreme Energy on their webpage's 'Contact Us' link regarding this lack of customer service but received no response from them. At the time of purchase, I also opted to purchase a 10 year protection plan covering parts and service for $3,000.00. When the first system problem occured, I was unable to reach ***** for service. In need of repair, I was able to contact the original installer (who was hired by Supreme Energy) to repair my system. I paid him out of pocket. Once again, I lost partial heating in January 2022 and called the original installer who told me he was no longer associated with Supreme Energy. I called Supreme directly, speaking multiple times with an associate who was going to have the manager look into my problem as their company no longer offers service in the GTA. Neither the manager nor the associate answering the phoneline has ever returned my calls. So for a second time I had to pay out of pocket for a service call to repair this unit. Supreme is fully paid for this unit (the finanacing was paid in full on January 10th 2020) and they are in possession of my $3,000.00 for a protection plan they are not willing to nor have ever honoured. If they are truly in business to 'provide prompt, professional HVAC installation and maintenance for Canadians' then I believe a refund of $3,000.00 would be an appropriate resolution to my complaint.Business response

Hello,
Out company Supreme Energy Inc. did the installation for *****'s company service experts. We stopped servicing toronto due to covid and still have not fully recovered to reopen that area. While I understand that your experience with them may have been uncomfortable, we are unable to offer you a rebate. We were paid an installation allowance for our work and materials, which in total was less than the amount you are asking for. If you like I can look into manufacturer warranties for you as this is public information. Other than than there is nothing we can do at this time. Aorry for the inconvenience.

I am rejecting this response because I do not believe the information in the response is correct. While the response claims Supreme Energy was subcontracted by ***** ****** the documents I've attached today show a different situation. In my original complaint, I attached the Purchase Invoice which was from Supreme Energy. Secondly one of today's attachments shows *****'s business card as a Sales Manager for Supreme Energy. I can accept that anyone can have a card printed with whatever company name they want. However, the second attachment is the original Finance Contract showing the funds were paying for 'goods and services purchased from Supreme Energy Inc.'With these documents, I still believe that Supreme Energy is responsible for refunding my protection plan funds.

Bought an H/Vac system from Supreme Energy in the fall of 2019. Signed up for financing which was accepted but then after the unit was put in was recinded . Tried other finance companies but had reached our financial limit. Supreme Energy's agent came back to us to tell us that the solution would be to write out monthly post dated cheques in the sum of $125.00 a month.Wrote out three years worth with understanding that more would come at the end of that period and until the unit was paid for in the sum of $10,000.00. They cashed the cheques sparoricly sometimes two in the same month. This continued until the unit broke down in the March of 2020. Called the company and ***** who we were told was manager came to the house to see what the problem was. He could not figure out what caused the unit to stop working and said he would send an electrician to find a solution. The electrician said that one of the boards within the unit itself was faulty and he would report that to *****. ***** told me he would order the parts right away as they were under warranty. After a long waiting period I phoned him and he said it was more cost effective to order a new unit and that when it came in he would have it put in. I waited all summer long suffering the very hot and humid periods. I phoned the company several times and talked to ***** the receptionist and asked her to leave messages for ***** to call me. ***** never returned my calls until late August when I asked him when was he going to fix my unit as I had gone without a.c. all summer and was paying for a broken unit to which his reply was"I'll make sure you have no heat for the winter as well" . ** **** *** * *** **** ******* *** ****** **** ******* *** ***** ******* ********* ** **** ****** ** *** *** ************ ** ******* ***Business response

Hello,
As mention in the ******s explanation, the financing company reminded the financing as they found out that they do not own the land and this is a mobile home. We did not only install a heatpump we also did major gas work. Unfortunately in order for any work to be done we need to be paid the balance owing. In order to make it easy, we even offered them to not pay any interest and we would put the monthly payments towards the balance, and also we would completely replace the unit with a brand new one, to avoid further trouble. They declined this offer. We have gone above and beyond to deliver for this customer, clearly you need to pay for the work that had already been done, before requesting more work to be done for free
