In Sept 2023, Centennial Glass did a botched up 4-5-line report that contradicts what their contact told me when he saw the state of the damaged bay window of our house. ****** wrote:-... a quote to replace the rotten window (glass doesn't get rotten; the bottom part of the wooden frame was rotten);-Based on where the window is located, I assume... (He assumed w/o showing any evidence of his allegation. The house is most impacted, in the back part of it, by elements from the North to West. The front bay window is so much more protected from the elements than the back bay windows which are still in perfect condition. The 2-car garage protects the front bay window from strong northern winds)- ... assume ********** has sat in this area in the windowsill year after year w/o any maintenance to have this much rot. (This lie is insulting & offensive. Every Fall, I inspect and maintain doors and windows, especially the spacing between **************** frame... After a snow fall, I always remove the snow and ice from the windowsill, ******** non-reflected assumption w/o seeing makes no sense at all)- The copper roof... may have contributed to the rot. (Again, no evidence (he said may). If he would have looked at the 2-3 dozen houses around mine, he would have noticed that all have the same copper roof small overhang, and not a single house had the windowsill problem I inherited from bad workmanship. He failed to do a professional report and did a 5-min one on scrap paper. My home insurance accepted ****** of Centennial Glass amateurish report and didn't pay for the repairs.I & all those I talked to will never do business with Centennial . We heard horror stories about them. Because of their lies, I gave my business to Big City *************** to replace all windows with 3-panes with windows so much higher quality than Centennial. Therefore, I gave a full window upgrade contract to Big City W&D, e.g. Centennial lost a $35,000 opportunity + $10,000 for 3 patio doors.

********************, We can appreciate your disappointment and frustration in your situation and want to share our empathy for how you're feeling but want to reassure you that your blame is misguided. Centennial was not hired by your insurance company, and we have never spoken to anyone regarding your insurance claim. We were hired by a restoration company to look at the scope of work for replacing one bay window as an insurance claim at your home. We did not engage with you directly at anytime ********************, with exception to perhaps set up the appointment time to view the window, and our scope of work was to advise if the window needed to be replaced. Our assessment was provided to our customer, the restoration company, who hired us. We provided our feedback, photos, and measurements and our opinion on why there was water damage on the bottom wood frame, which was evidenced in the photos, just under the main window unit and he likely cause of the issue. Frame damage. We submitted our details and an estimate on the work. (We do not work directly for the insurance company, and generally the insurance company makes their own assessment and determination, which we are not privy too). Whatever we provide to our client, (who in this case is the restoration company), it's the restoration company that works directly with the insurance provider, and we are not privy to claims or outcomes. We simply provide the estimate of costs for replacement. In 57 years, we have been working with restoration companies around ****** and we value the trust our partners place in working with us. Our scope of work was for one bay window, and I have the details which I will provide to the BBB. However, I must repeat, Centennial Glass was not hired directly by you. We were hired via a third party acting on an insurance claim for one window. We appreciate this can be frustrating, but to be clear, Centennial Glass, and our employees, are not responsible for the denial of your insurance claim in this situation. We're very happy things worked out for you in the end. Our goal is to always perform our work with integrity.
