On December 1, 2022 I received my annual Chalmers invoice showing that two propane tank rentals had increased substantial. I called on December 2, 2022 indicating that I no longer wanted the tanks based on their price and they could come and pick them up. They indicated they would call to arrange a pick up time, but did not they came onto my property and removed the tanks without making arrangements. At that time I was credited for propane remaining in the tanks and charged $175 plus HST for pick up of the tanks. I asked where I agreed to pay for pick up of their equipment. They sent me a clause that does not apply to my cancellation, I was not in arrears, I had no advance notice until December 1, 2022 when I received the statement via email. They agreed to discount the pick up to $100 from $175 and sent me a cheque dated Jan 24, 2022 for the propane remaining in the tanks minus the $113($100 plus HST) as I did not agree to the pick up costs nor does my contract outline pick up costs I would like that fee refunded as well. The termination clause if not even where the equipment was located, it is from the address before. They state I was in default calling the day after the invoice was received.
