I have been a returning customer to this campsite as a seasonal camper for the last 3 seasons, and have stored my trailer there each season for a fee. At the end of the season last year I decided to store both my boat and trailer with them for the winter, again for a fee, and under the assumption they would make sure my property was properly stored and protected from damage, as any storage place does. Today, 17 June 2023, I was finally able to get my boat from their storage lot and found it to be heavily damaged. They parked it in an overgrown field underneath a large maple tree as seen in the attached pictures. It had black tree sap everywhere, Windows smashed out, newly installed seats and carpets are full of mould and water damage, boat tarp ripped and moulded. Damage estimated to be roughly $4000 to $5000 but could be more. I spent nearly $2000 last year just replacing the seats, which are now garbage. Regardless of the contract I signed, the park owners were grossly negligent in the storing of my boat and have told me it is my problem and refuse to cover the costs of the repairs. They didn’t even apologize for damages. It looks like I just dragged it out of a wrecking yard. They’re business insurance should pay for these damages. If this isn’t criminal it should be.
