We hired **** ***** (Always Contracting) to build a pool shed/gazebo in our backyard. We signed a contract with him for $57,306.45 to be paid in 3 separate instalments After paying the first instalment Mr.**** b**** the work, which took much much longer than the first phase was scheduled for. He rented equipment to do the project, which was here far longer than it should have been. Mr **** was here sporadically at best, causing the equipment to be needed longer than necessary. After a horrible cement pour in which we had to provide additional equipment and labour, Mr **** asked for more money to be taken out of the second instalment which we reluctantly agreed to. Mr **** continued to show up sporadically until he just stopped showing up all together. He told us he had to take more lucrative jobs. Then we had a lien placed on our house for $10,864.28 because of the equipment that Mr **** did not pay the rental company for. We worked out a deal with Mr.**** that he would finish the project and we would pay off the lien, deducting the lien amount from the remaining balance we would owe him upon completion of the project. But Mr **** has not completed the project. The contract states it would be finished May 20, 2022. It is now January 2, 2023. Mr. **** has not been here for at least two months and there has been no significant progress on our project for four or more months. We have lost all faith that Mr **** actually intends to finish this project and are looking into any and all other options we may have including a bbb complaint as well as legal and criminal avenues. At this point, our hope is to at the very least have the lien paid off of the house.

Hello! I got a an estimate and deposited $5000 for All-Ways contracting to redo my front porch, back steps, bathroom, doors a few other things around my house in April. I was told the deposit would hold my spot for middle of a Sept through October. As the date approved Jacob said he was behind and that he’s be there the first week of Nov. I originally told that the project would be complete at the end of December. I called him the first week of November as the work had not started. He was annoyed but said he’s be out. He needed up coming Nov 14th and ripped out my front porch and said he’d be back to break up the cement. He again didn’t show. I left him a message and told him that if he couldn’t do the job to return my deposit. He said that he would be by today to the work. We agreed that he would just finish the front porch and he would not do the rest of the project. He was a no show again. He mentioned that he had 6 other large projects that he was working on and that delayed everything but that is not my fault. I made the deposit to hold my spot and now it’s been too long. He is very unprofessional and possibly has taken on work that he cannot complete. I am working with ******* ****** ********* for this project but the original deposit I borrowed with the understanding that I would get it refunded by ******* ******** when the project is completed. I just want my money back or the project to be completed immediately so I can find someone that can complete the projects for me in a timely manner. I will take him to small claims court if I need to but thought that you may be able to help me. If you’d like additional detail please contact me. There is not enough room on this form to provide all details. I did include messages between my daughter and Jacob regarding starting the project, pictures of the deck as he left it and my contract. I look forward to hearing from you. ***** ********

On July 9/22 **** **** came to give us an estimate to remove our tub and make a walk-in shower. We agreed and he sent an email with the detailed estimate and price. He told us he required 1/2 now and balance when job completed. On July 11/22 I got a bank draft for $3000 and Mr. **** picked it. Mr. **** told us on July 9/22 he would be able to do the job mid August. On August 11/22 got an email from Mr. **** saying he would have an exact date mid next week, heard nothing. September 13/22 I emailed him and asked when he would be coming, said he would get back to me after lunch, nothing. September 22/22 got an email saying he and his family where leaving for Nova Scotia and would be back October 5/22 and would have a starting date when he returned. October 14/22 email saying he would have a date by October 18/22 Nothing. October 21/22 settled on October 28/22 at noon, then email at 12:45 he was going for lunch would be here after. Nothing, no email or phone call. I called him October 29/22 asking for a return call, nothing. October 31/22 sent Mr. **** an email saying we where done and requested our $3000 back by November 4/22. Email November 2/22 saying he was out of town until November 8/22 and he would bring our money then. Of course he never came. I am now trying to seek some legal consul as to what I can do. Mr. **** **** was highly recommended to me but somewhere he has lost his moral compass. I have been to the Police, seems they can’t do anything for me but they did take all Mr. ****** information for future reference.

My elderly mother contracted with ***** **** of All-Ways Contracting to have her front porch rebuilt in May 2022. He required a deposit of $3,250 and that was etransferred to him by me in May 2022. He advised he would do the porch work in or around September 2022. When September came around he said his supplier sent the wrong material. He then stopped communicating with my mother. I messaged him a week ago requesting a refund and he said he would talk to his supplier and issue the refund “when he got a chance.” One week later, I tried messaging him again about the refund and he has blocked me from communicating with him. This is not a good faith gesture and indicates he is trying to scam a 91 year old lady. He took her deposit money in May 2022 and 2 months after the porch was to be completed, he ghosts both her and me.
