Hello Dear Better Business Bureau Representative: I have been purchasing services from JP Electronics since Jul 2020, and had no issues until Dec 2021. On Dec 11/21, I purchased an IPTV product from above retailer, order #XXXXX, and paid $13 via an Interac Money Transfer to retailer . After providing all the required technical information about my device apparatus (IPTV box information), I was given login information which would enable me to avail the IPTV service. Upon entering the login information into my device, it got locked, and I was receiving a message to contact the provider to re-register my device. This technical issue has occurred on a couple of occasions in the past, and each time the retailer was able to promptly resolve the issue. On this occasion however, the retailer refused to help me. He suggested that I change my MAC address, however this process is highly technical, and can only be performed by experienced personnel, otherwise there is a great risk of permanently damaging the IPTV device apparatus if not performed properly. I asked the retailer for an alternate service, and he complied by providing me with login information for an alternate service. However, this service did not work, as I was only able to view a black screen. I explained the situation to the retailer and showed him pictures of the black screen, I requested if I could receive a refund as his services were not working with my device. He refused to provide a refund as my service was already active. I tried calling him numerous times, but he did not respond to my calls. ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** The retailer has indicated that any further assistance won't be provided. Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/02/07) */ Buyer ask for particular service and we activated that but after sometime she ask to change it bcoz she don't like what she bought. We do have a open policy stated on our website and viewable to everyone that once we activate the service there will be no refund or exchange. We activate service only. Do we get any compensation for our loose for having claim wrongfully by this kind of customers?
