Sept. 10th, 2022 ******* ******* received a cheque for 60% of the renovation cost, $7,626.00 Work Order ******* Estimated time by contractor was 2 weeks for completion. Work began Sept. 22nd, 2022 with the demolition of the bathtub area. By Dec. they had only put in some cement work in the tub area. I had not heard from the contractor, ******* ******* since Nov. but his worker ***** had done some cement work. I tried calling ******* but calls were not returned. I emailed him to contact me or be fired for breach of contract by Dec. 16th. Asked him to bring in invoices of expenses and photos of any products bought on our behalf, so we could settle. No response. Feb. 2nd, 2023 I emailed him that the new contractor estimated his work as worth up to $1,000. Told him he could settle by refunding $6,626.00 or we would take him to small claim's court. ******* texted me that he would respond to my email when he got home from work that night. His response was no response at all.
