I have paid Sampo Sauna's $40,000 to build a custom sauna *** ** **** ** ******* *** ****** ** *** *** ******** ********* *** *** **** ************ ****** The owner ***** outlined that he would be able to build us a sauna that would heat to 90 degrees for that price. It was mostly built last summer/fall but have been struggling to have them finish the job since this time. The company used non galvanized staples and nails on the cedar wood (despite them intending and stating they would) and so the cedar is black all over. In addition to this, the materials used were poor on multiple other fronts. The windows installed are falling apart in the heat, the stain applied was sprayed on and has streaks all down the side. The biggest problem is the heating unit does not actually heat the sauna to near the advertised heat. On most uses it can only get to 70 or 75 degrees which minimizes the health benefits as to why we purchased this sauna. The owner has come by on multiple occasions. He has reviewed what is not working and acknowledged he is at fault and planned to fix it. (I have this all on recording). He has now stopped responding to phone calls texts and clearly has no intent on finishing/fixing the job.
