    13-Oct-2021 Phone inquiry about purchasing a Cavalier King Charles puppy. Told had a waiting list of about one year. Quoted $2500. Told if want to skip the wait and get a puppy from the next available litter we could pay $3500 for the "pick of the litter." Expressed interest in viewing the puppies and possibly the 'pick of the litter' offering. Told a $200 deposit needed with the remainder due on pick up if getting 'pick of the litter' otherwise deposit would gets name on the waiting list. No mention of deposit being non refundable. 15-Oct-2021 Called and booked in person visit for 17-Oct-2021. Again confirmed details as noted above. 17-Oct-2021 In person visit to see puppies. Paid $200 by e-transfer to add us to the 'pick of the litter' list. Next available is those born 15-Oct-2021. Arranged to choose our puppy during a second visit in a month. 27-Oct-2021 Sent email to breeder advising our circumstances had changed and we would be cancelling our purchase. Requested refund of our deposit by e-transfer. 27-Oct-2021 Email reply from breeder advising "we do not return deposits if the purchaser changes their mind" 27-Oct-2021 Email to breeder advising never told of a non-refundable deposit policy and again asking for our refund. Clarified that with a wait list there is obviously no financial loss to our cancellation. 30-Nov-2021 Email to breeder as no response to date. Advised still seeking refund. Mentioned seems against guidelines of Canadian Kennel Club which this kennel is a Lifetime Member of. Stated if no response or refund we would pursue our concerns further. 8-Dec-2021 Email to breeder informing that since no response nor refund received we would be proceeding with further action. Stated we remain open to receiving the refund as resolution to this matter. As of 13-Dec-2021 no further email replies received. No e-transfer received. No postal mail received.

    We have a golden from this business 7 yrs ago. We put a $200 deposit down 2 years ago for another one and have not heard anything. I have tried to call, text, ******** message, email to get our deposit back and nothing.

    We just received notification of this today, May 16, 2023 and the complaint to the BBB was submitted January 28, 2023. This person, as stated, has a Golden Retriever from us already in which they are so happy with, they contacted us to purchase another. At the time the deposit was received by us (Feb 16, 2021) they were told it was at least a two year wait. Her deposit has been refunded as we were unable to provide her with a puppy due to less puppies than we anticipated.
