I paid Buzzeo’s Custom $20,000 as per agreed upon in our contract to build a poolhouse and grout the bottom of my pool which they had previously installed. Due to all the mistakes that were made and his inability to finish the project correctly I had to pay another company $13,888.48 to repair and finish the project. As per stated in our agreement he was to purchase a metal roof as well as install it. After he attempted to install the roof he realized it wasn’t something he was capable of doing so it was left undone. He installed hardie board siding and trim, soffit, fascia, j channel all of which had to be repurchased and redone due to his lack of ability to do it correctly. He was supposed to install all windows and doors which included insulation and caulking but had to be redone because he did not set the doors correctly and did not caulk or insulate around any of the doors or windows.

This job was summer of 2023 in which the customer did all the concrete work himself in a manor against advice and proper construction for this structure that can be seen in documented text messages from that time, resulting in the base leaks seen in the photos. I also have documentation of him saying he did it wrong and understanding and requesting help with solutions. The photo with the roof wrap hanging was due to a windstorm and was taken prior to completion of my work when it was repaired and the soffit was already done. This customer as seen in my attached photo had another connector come in on the weekend and tamper with all my work then demand a refund on works destroyed by others. This complaint is an attempt at defamation and unjust. This customer also has an outstanding bill of almost $3000 that has not been paid for services completed and materials supplied almost 1 year ago.

I am rejecting this response because:

his rebuttal isn’t remotely accurate and has absolutely nothing to do with my complaint. We had no choice but to have someone else come in to repair all the problems this contractor created.  The cement under the Poolhouse and the  floor leaking was not even in my complaint. As far as the swimming pool grout he admitted after the fact he didn’t know what he was doing therefore a pool company had to come in and repair his botched work at my expense. For him to say we owe him money is ludicrous.

      Sincerely,

I have photographic, video, and text evidence, as well as 4 contractors willing to testify and the pool company who repaired the grout - that this customers actions resulted in whatever damages he's demanding a refund for.

As stated, a large balance remains on the project and my prior response has a photo showing when the customer fired us without notice or communication and had others work on the project tampering with all of our work while we weren't on site confessed in his own words.

Again this is simply an attempt to discredit my company as well as haras it until he rips us off some more for the generosity of extended help and favors as well as well priced work.

This customer was a bit of a family friend and also did work together on other projects. His actions left dozens of people in shock as he sent that message on my sisters wedding.

My company will no longer be communicating on the matter without our attorney.

      Complaint: 21542916

I am rejecting this response because:

I as well have text messages and lots of pictures of his work, that was no where near being done to a satisfactory level the fact of the matter is this is a rough carpenter who got in over his head and cost us thousands of dollars extra.  We had no choice but to find someone else to complete the job because he wasn’t showing up and refused to repair his mistakes.  I personally spoke with the pool company who installed the liner and had to regrout the pool and they said we used the proper material as a base, he also sent me pictures of Pools that he had done in the past and used the same material as a base. He also was paid to purchase the roof and insulation which he never installed the roof due to his inability to complete the work which he stated himself that he could not do the roof and he felt that I should find somebody to do the roof even though he was paid to do it, he never purchased the insulation in which he was paid to buy and install. I’ve also requested that he take the images of my property off of his social media on September 22, 2023 and he has not done that.  I’ve never had anybody come and tamper with his work, I had gotten another credible contractor to come in and take a look before I fired ******, and he pointed out everything that was wrong and that had to be redone if we wanted the Job done correctly.  The final straw was, he refused to fix a section of my hardy board paneling that he cut in around an electrical outlet and then tried to use caulking to hide the joints which only made the problem look worse.  There are so many other things that he screwed up and his attitude towards our project became hostile when we pointed out issues that we had with his work.  He was also very unprofessional by not showing up to work for weeks, He should’ve been here but instead he would leave early to go boating, he would also have his family members and girlfriend over to my house without my knowledge, This is my HOME not a Public park.  He couldn’t get consistent help which he would often use as an excuse, not to show up.  We were constantly cleaning up after him. He was using my pool as a dumpster, leaving cigarette butts everywhere, blaring music at 8 o’clock in the morning, he had material spread out all over my property all summer long due to his lack of organization.  I’m not sure why he thinks he did me such a big favor, This was a paying job that he quoted,  he also begged me to do the pool house stating he wanted to use it as advertising for his business.  This is not a contractor, This is a con artist, Who promises things that he is incapable of doing.

      Sincerely,

      **** *****
