Leased a 2024 VW TAOS last year in October, got a great deal on it since I traded in my previous vehicle, and I put down a good amount. Nothing but problems since I got it, had to get my whole panoramic sunroof replaced due to it being faulty, I was told it could’ve flown off while driving or shatter in pieces (not safe at all) I was told that the car would be done in 2 days, ended up waiting 2.5 weeks. Got the car back DIRTY and DUSTY, had to pay out of my pocket to get it cleaned inside and out. When I closed the shade, it had holes in it like someone took a pen and just started jabbing. I complained about it had to wait again for the parts, dropped the car off got it fixed and I requested for the car to be cleaned after the work was done. I got it back still how it was, only the exterior was washed… 15,000KM maintenance was due, It took 2 hours… once I got the car back, the steering wheel had to be held to the side in order for the car to go straight, and when I hold it straight the car goes to the right, I complained about it, drove 40 min to the dealer for them to tell me that “that’s normal, all vws do that”. *** *** ****** ** **** ** **** ******* A brand new car the steering has to be held to a side to go straight??? **** * ***** The radio glitches constantly, ***** ******* barely works, radio would shut down randomly and I would have to restart the car. Complained about it too but nothing has been done, I keep being told it’s all “normal” I’m paying all this money for what?? To be at the dealership every week?? I said enough is enough, I found a sales guy and explained my frustrations, he talked to his manager, they tried to charge me $1,700 to get out of the lease! YOU WANT ME TO PAY FOR NEGATIVE EQUITY??? For a vehicle that is not functioning?? They will do anything but help you out. VOLKSWAGEN NEEDS TO BUY THIS VEHICLE BACK! This is nonsense. Not how you treat a returning customer.
