The best way to approach this ********** review is by unpacking it accusation by accusation.
"They were professional until the installation was complete."
- We were professional the entire relationship. When your remote app wasn't working, it was you who ********* when calling our offices with a raised voice, using profanity, and otherwise being unpleasant. You, and your partner had a requirement to be on site the day of installation at both locations, which you didn't honor. This was the only reason your app wasn't working because you weren't on site the day of install. When this was brought to your attention, you back pedaled and denied that we requested that. (How else were we to get the apps on your phone, without you present?)
"We were paying the monthly service fee [for ongoing support] but were given the run around and blamed for the problem."
- You weren't given the "run around." *******************************************************. We stayed on the phone with you on at least two separate evenings helping you get the app on your phone in lieu of you not being on site the day of install. And you weren't "blamed" for the problem. This isn't a classroom setting. We aren't your teacher, nor you, our student. Even though we assisted you and solved the problem in full, your belligerence was so overwhelming that we had to remind you that it was your absence the day of install, which caused this issue in the first place.
"We ended up trouble-shooting on our own and figured it out ourselves with no help from them."
- Not true. This is where you skew the timeline to appear the victim. You quit your service warranty directly after we got the apps online for you. Like all home service warranty packages, whether it be an alarm, furnace, AC, or otherwise, there is at least a one-year term attached to it. You're not the first person who's thought, "I'll just use the warranty until I don't need it then quit." That's why there's always at least a one-year service agreement. But you were so terrible to our staff, ******* to our After-Hours Service Desk, **********************************************, that we let you cancel both accounts without repercussion (more on that below) because our staff simply couldn't deal with you.
"As soon as we did [cancel], our system COINCIDENTALLY [emphasis mine] went offline."
- This is something else you concocted. That there's a "conspiracy" and we did this to you. Electronics aren't like how they appear in Hollywood movies. We can't "flick a switch" and turn off your cameras remotely as punishment for discontinuing your warranty account. We didn't want to punish you at all. We let you quit without enforcing the contracts. We helped you while you were paying for your warranty package, then let you quit when you felt you didn't need us any longer. Why were you surprised when you called afterward, and we no longer wanted to assist you? What were you expecting?
We try hard to keep all our clients happy Stephan, but even after letting you quit once you got the last of our help you thought you needed, it still wasn't good enough. Now you're stamping your feet and using the Better Business Bureau as your battering ram in a lame attempt to malign us.
To further expose you, we even reached out after getting notice of this ***** review. You took it as another opportunity to sling mud and claim another conspiracy that you were unaware of the warranty contracts (just like being "unaware" of being on site the day of your own install, right?) and that the contract must had been written in the fine print! (Again, not true, it's written in handwriting in large font at the bottom center of your paperwork, and we mentioned the terms of them to you as well).
And now for the cake topper: Even after all the ********, false accusations, and cancelled warranty packages, we STILL offered to come out for FREE to fix your cameras to show good faith and part respectably. ***************** simply ignored the request.
This "review" isn't about GlobalTek failing to perform, but rather ***************** failing to pull off its own scheme. You weren't on site the day of install, it caused issues and we helped you in lieu of your ********. Then you quit thinking you were home-free. You weren't. Now you're upset that you don't have recourse, so you've taken to the BBB. Any psychology student drop-out can see what's motivating you here.
And while your warranty accounts remain cancelled as per your wishes, we are no longer forgiving your balance of term owed on both accounts. We're sending you to collections on both accounts. This amount owing will sit on your credit bureau until paid. You will hear from our creditors in the coming weeks. You may pay them directly. Do not contact our offices.
Good luck to you, Stephan. You're going to need it.
Respectfully,
GlobalTek Security Inc.
