they cancelled my trip and offered an alternate date which I accepted. 2 weeks later they called me to tell me that now the price has changed (extra $250/ person). Had I booked directly with ******* or ********** I would have had the original price. Dear Client, there was an advisory that came from the supplier regarding the package you purchased. The airline made changes to their schedule. As the managing agency we relay the information to the client but booking directly with *** ******* would have resulted in the same outcome since the change was made by the tour operator no tripcentral.ca While we can appreciate the frustration when changes are made to a vacation we do try to advise clients on the invoice that all changes are at the discretion of the airline . We do our best to help reschedule clients and work with the supplier to make the change as easy and seamless as we can . I have used many online booking companies until I discovered TripCentral. I like this company a lot more as you can get a live person, who is located in Canada, sometimes in town near you and build your relationship this way. If you liked certain agent, you can reach out to that specific agent using their extension and speak directly and book through them. While booking all inclusive online is straight forward and does not need an agent per se, my agent at TripCentral was extremely handy when I had emergency overseas and had to leave in 7 hours after just arriving from another trip. The agent handled everything for me so well, finding best connecting flights, cheapest airfare and took off so much stress while I had to focus on other things. This is why we need live people on the other end of the line, and happy that Trip Central strives to do just that.tripcentral.ca Response

We've booked a number of trips with Tripcentral over the years and have always been very happy with their service. This includes one during COVID which they were able to reschedule for us, no problem. Their online booking system works very well, narrowing down locations/resorts based on personal preference. Our travel advisor *** ******* was excellent! He was patient with our large group of 12, and was even willing to help us finalize our bookings on his day off. We encountered a discrepancy from ******* with the seats that were available on our flight, so *** went ahead and helped us find a solution. Customer service- booked flight in Nov 2023, it was drastically changed in Feb 2024. I called and could either accept another change or get a refund. I accepted the Feb change. April 29/24, another big change. Called. Because I accepted the first change in Feb, I must now accept all changes. **** ** *********** And I have cancellation / disruption insurance. Who knows how many more times this flight will change before August, all I know is I am stuck with whatever they give me . **** ** ******* book flights directly through airlines, at least you are asked if you want to accept it or not .tripcentral.ca Response

Hello Dear Client , Thank you for your email advising us that your flight times have changed. Sadly this is a regular occurance as airlines have full control over the flight time changes and what options they give the passenger. The options DO NOT come from tripcentral.ca we only update our clients based on what the airlines have given us. Booking directly with the airline will not give you more privileges. . We were sorry to hear that you experienced a flight change by the airline and yes you are correct that more changes may happen before you depart . We will watch and update you will all changes as they happen up to 24hours before your departure. We see that you booked a BASIC ECONOMY FARE which is a better price but it does have more RESTRICTIONS. No changes and cancellation penalties do apply. Had you upgraded the fare basis this might have allowed for some changes. Please keep this in mind next time when you budget to travel and not book the lowest economy fare with restrictions. The rules are set by the airlines and the fare basis , again tripcentral.ca has no control over possible changes to your schedule. We can appreciate that as a traveler this has upset you the traveler but remember we do have options to offer you different fares that will allow you more flexibly . Next time please call in to our reservation department for guidance in your purchase, they are here to help you find the best option for your needs. Thank you for booking with tripcentral.ca and we appreciate the feed back and always strive to improve where we can and where we have control to do so . Customer Service Team - tripcentral.ca - AK We have a whole department that call and email our clients all day long , 7 days a week and we have never had a day that we didn't have a flight delay or change to call about. So , that will tell you how frequent we do get changes incoming from our airline partners. I hate to say it but it is possible that the times could change again and if it does we will be in touch with you to update you again. We suggest downloading the ******* APP and putting in your information , you will most likely be notified first if you do that . Changes occur when the airport authority and the airline have to make changes to the original flight plan due to operational situations. We have no control over these changes when we receive them unless they come to us with options. We then offer the options to the client shown on the advisory. Often there is no reimbursement if clients did pay more to fly on certain flights.Review from Ana M

Made a Booking March 12. Trip for the three of us totalled $3534.00. The next day I looked at the balance on my credit card and found out that tripcental had charged $5797.58 on my card. I then contacted my agent, they it would be reversed. There was a charge of $2178.00 to *** ******* and the second was $85.58 to some insurance company *******. I am still waiting for the two charges to be reversed.tripcentral.ca Response

Just to clarify the actual total trip booked by the client was $5797.58cad. The client tried to use a credit for $2178.00cad that was chargeback by the client a few year ago and was credited back to the client. The client attempted to book using this credit , that had already been refunded to the client over 2 years ago. There was no credit to be applied. Tripcentral.ca is a very forthright company and the total cost of the trip was quoted to the client and it was booked despite it being explained that the amount of $2178.00 was refunded. The client proceeded with the booking even thought the online booking was declined as the voucher didnt exist. Client then called into our reservation sales and worked with one of our agents who looked into it and and advised the customer right away that the voucher she sought had been refunded to her already . The client since agrees that there was no credit for use and refused to pay the actual cost of the trip. Tripcentral.ca is working with our supplier to clear the booking despite the terms of sale. The tour operator advised that the booking is100% non refundable at time of booking . We have spent many hours negotiating for this client to try to get the vacation cancelled and penalties waived. For the record, in defense of tripcentral.ca business practice. The customer didnt advise the agent that she had a voucher until after she made the booking so the booking was made at the full price and then the client tried to apply the voucher. tripcentral.ca would never just quote one price and charge another. on December 28, 2018 I used my ******** to purchase *** ***** Reward Certificates for Trip Central after numerous emails back and forth with the trip central representative who was promoting these certificates. "they never expire" , "use them on any vacation packages" we decided to use 2,727 ******** to purchase $300 worth of these certificates for trip central, under the impression we could use them towards any vacation package. We just purchased a vacation package through trip central and decided to finally use our certificates only to find out now we cannot use them because the package was through *******??? There is nowhere on our certificates that states ******* is excluded from these certificates. I could have purchased this package directly through ******* and did not because we had these certificates so we took our business to them. They're response is to save them for a future vacation package. Thank you for writing to us . Yes this is an active file in our customer service department . Tripcentral.ca will still honor the *** ***** vouchers that our clients have , no expiry but they can only be applied with certain suppliers , many suppliers actually but the only one that for sure does not accept the vouchers is *******. The vacation was booked on ******* and were not able to be redeemed against that supplier. The package that the client requested to book was with the supplier that we cannot redeem them for. On the phone conversation it was not communicated that if the vouchers could not be used the client would not want to book the trip . Had the client explained this then it would have been discovered that another package , possibly more expensive and not exactly what the client originally wanted would have had to been offered to apply the vouchers. The vouchers do state that booking terms and conditions apply and the website was on the vouchers to see how they can be redeemed. In the end , tripcentral.ca did apologize for the mis communication about the use of the vouchers and offered a ,monetary compensate for the trip that is booked . Also we advised the client to keep the voucher for use next time. Those vouchers will be accepted on any product listed with the suppliers that redeem them. We have been using Tripcentral for many years. We find that overall we feel we are in good hands with ***** *. She is very detail-oriented to ensure we fully understand everything associated with our vacation eg special requests are made but can not be guaranteed. I had a few business trips to plan and sort out and ******** took the info and provided me quick turnaround time on all the available options for me and it was the easiest way to book multiple trips in a short period of time.
