Forest City Custom Renovations owner ******* ****** The renovations he did had many problems due to lack of certified workers. My total reno cost $37,000.00 + Another $8,000.00 for flooring on main level which he did for cash. We have settled on a paint issue which is due to lack of experience very poor job. Shortly after my floors started to crack and lift when I try calling emailing or messaging he refuses to respond not one return call , message or email for the last 6 months. I have pictures emails messages to hi about the pro lens with NO response. Even to the point I asked where the floor was purchased so I could buy more and ha e it fixed but he doesn't respond. This is just to do with the floor issues only. I am seeking $4,332.47 plus tax for the basement floor as per contract as the while floor has to be removed and replaced. on the upstairs I am seeking $8,000.00 as paid total $12,332.47. Floors were finished in August 2022 and I have been complaining since they did come back and fix a couple things but the floor has gotten worse due to lack of experienced installersand poor repairs. I am going to contact a lawyer and get legal advice since he ignores my calls messages and emails which is uncalled for and unprofessional he does not stand behind his work. I have attached some issues with the floor but there are more.Business response

This customer has already agreed to our terms to settle at $2500.00 refunded for issues. We added an additional 87.33 to add this to the total paint cost(2,587.33).Additionally we added an extra $1,780.28 in good faith without being asked for, to apologize for any issues and end all matters between us.We moved forward without issues until random late night texts have been sent harassing us. The total refunded has ended all matters and discussion between both parties. As shown in the photos of written proof.Initial Complaint

Refund of $675 plus tax was agreed upon on August 13. No communication or refund has been received. Company did a horrid job painting resulting in damage to all areas of the house. After all the mess and damage to my house the Owner agreed to fix things and make things right. Sent a second painter out to fix the job who because he would not be paid enough walked away without even starting. This painter told me he was offered $400 to fix it. And that he was owed money by the owner for other work. That night, after 10 days of the original job being completed the owner could not come up with a firm plan with firm dates and was still trying to find out the availability of another painter. At 9pm that night and after feeling uncomfortable with the no shows, lack of communication and experience with 2 painters requested a refund if my deposit. The owner seemed baffled that my patience had worn thin and I was done with their company and my time being wasted. He did agree to a refund in writing via text but I am still waiting for it and have received no response to my communication or timelines.
