Around February 2021, my truck a 2014 ***** *** 1500, developed a small ticking sound on the engine. It was immediately brought to Martin automotive as I've used them in the past. A few days later it was determined that the forward lifters were bad, the cam was good, and a few of the forward rollers were worn. They couldn't get it to stop ticking and the ticking was worse after thier tech ken, worked on it. Unbeknownst to the manager Dan, ken did not change the correct parts. I say this with knowledge as when the engine was removed at ******* ******, and brought back to the shop where I was now working, the forward lifter was broken and moving freely causing engine damage. Around mid June of 2021, my truck was on the hoist still as the issue had not been resolved yet, I started working there exactly June 8th. Tony told Dan, the manager that my truck needed to be removed from the shop asap as he was tired of it taking up space. I did not ask for this, and it is not my fault that a previous tech did not do their job correctly. I was forced to have my truck towed to ******* ******, a ***** dealer at my expense, and on top of the cost of the motor, I had to pay 4000 to have it installed. On top of this, I had to purchase a used truck as I needed a truck, which is why I had my ***** in the first place. The truck was the cheaper of the options in good condition. Costing 7500. To add insult to injury Tony told Dan to make sure that I paid for the parts from the previous job the tech did incorrectly. I have battled with what to do, as I have a great deal of respect for Dan. Dan isn't to blame here as Tony pulls the strings and is very pushy to get what he wants.
