I purchased a new dishwasher and needed the outlet it plugs into changed. I called three different companies. The third place I called was called **** ************. I spoke to the girl who mumbled the answering of the phone and I repeatedly ask her to slow down. She told me it was 60 dollars to make the appointment plus labour. So I said I need an outlet changed is all and asked for an estimate. She said labour is based on time spent and the work they do, so she cant give an exact estimate but shouldn't be that much. A gentlemen showed up and was very nice. He changed my outlet and told me they were 10 dollars. He was at my condo for a total of 20 minutes. When he completed chaging the outlet, He called to get the price and it was 729.00. I immediately start crying and saying how is 20 minutes of changing a 10 dollar outlet 729.00? She ignored me and asked how Ill be paying. The electrician on site felt bad and tried to chime in, " I really wasn't here for long" and she advised him he cant leave until he gets my payment. It was a *********** situation and hesitantly I e-transferred the money in tears. There is a few things, If I saw that it was an emergency service, I'm aware they increase the price tremendously and would have never booked with them. This was NOT an emergency service I needed. However it wasn't until I got the receipt AFTER PAYING that it showed, ' 247 emergency service and Not **** ************* Also, 20 mins of work in now way is 729.00.
