Hi There, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the services provided by Storm Waterproofing, ************ ** ***** and their failure to uphold their warranty agreement. In June 28, 2014, Storm Waterproofing was hired to waterproof my basement, with the assurance of a 10-year warranty. However, recent events have revealed a significant breach of their promises. Last week, when I removed the old panel walls from my basement, I was shocked to discover water and moisture seeping along the walls. The wooden framing on the floor has been deteriorating for a long time, to the point of resembling black sand, all due to extensive water leakage. What's more troubling is that these are the exact walls that was waterproofed, by Storm Waterproofing. Upon contacting Paul on March 12, 2024, to address this urgent issue within the warranty period, *** ******** *** ************** He reluctantly agreed to visit and scheduled an appointment for March 17, 2024, instructing me to stop any ongoing renovation work until his inspection. ******** **** **** ******* ** ***** *** ***** *** ******** *** ********** *** ********** He outright denied the presence of any water or moisture and offered some other theories about how the water might get in there. ********** *** ************ *** **** *** ***** ************** *** ********** ** *** ****** ***** * *** ** ****** *** ** ***** *** ******** *** ***** ** ** **** *** * *****  ** ********* ** ******** ******* **** ** ***** ** ****** ** *** he told me to remove the flooring so he could see where the water traveled, meanwhile, other contractors said it was not necessary. They said it's evident where the water is coming from and that it needs to be fixed from the outside. Other contractors used a special device to measure the water in the concrete block of the walls, in addition to visual inspection. Seeking further professional opinions, I consulted three other contractors, all of whom confirmed the failure of Storm Waterproofing's initial work. They identified the walls handled by Storm Waterproofing as the primary source of the leakage and highlighted the use of an incorrect product—a blue skin membrane unsuitable for concrete block walls. All 3 contractors stated that a permanent and the right solution is to dig from the outside along the same walls Paul did, remove the existing incorrect blue skin membrane, and replace it with an adequate waterproofing system for concrete block walls. Paul's proposed solution was ********** inadequate, suggesting gluing back a peeled blue membrane (an area about 2 feet, by the side door), completely ignoring the widespread leakage evident in the basement across the area he previously worked on. ** ******* *** **** *** ************** *** ************** *** ****** ** ***** *** *********  Given that the warranty is set to expire on June 28, 2024, I request Storm Waterproofing to honor its commitment and undertake proper repairs, as recommended by qualified industry experts. This includes rectifying the faulty waterproofing on the affected walls using appropriate materials and techniques. ******** *** ****** ** ******* ***** ** *** ***** **** ***** ****** ***** *** *** ********* ***** *** *** **** ********* ** **** ******* **** ******** *****
