***** ***** was not the tool for me as a landlord. To me they misrepresented the benefits of membership. They later charge me for services which I had only inquired about but the purchase showed up on my credit card, which I disputed. * ****** ********* **** *** I was very disappointed in their services. This exactly what was missing in Ontario. If not paying rent does not affect tenants, they continue not paying rent as long as they are able to buy an expensive car or qualify for a new mortgage to buy their own home. They might instead decide not to pay rent while they save for a down payment. Imagine if all of a sudden they found out not paying rent would affect their credit score. Therefore, One thing I do as a landlord, and I encourage all Landlords to do, is I immediately set up an acct for each tenant (free of charge) in the new Landlord Credit bureau and I send the tenant an email thanking them for being so prompt with rent and advising I am reporting payments and a link to the site. I want them to know their rent payment history could start affecting their credit score in a negative or positive way! Most Landlords and Tenants do not even know it's available. A Tenant can also sign up to check their own tenant credit history. As a Landlord, you can also go in there to find out what other landlords have said about your tenant. It's fairly new, so you may not find your tenant on there yet. If more and more Landlords report, we will soon have a very reliable credit reporting system in place. I have excellent tenants so I have nothing but good things to say about them. Mostly paid on time and small description of them. Try it. It's free to start. Landlord Credit Bureau now Front Lobby.
I have been using the service since 2017 (at that time they were ***) and it is a must-have tool that I believe every landlord should have in their toolbox.
The ability to be able to report your tenant's monthly rent payment status to ******* is a game-changer and gives landlords the same ability that banks, car dealerships, etc have had for a long time to hold tenants accountable for their financial commitments.
Also, this tool is a win/win as any tenant with good intent will benefit as they get to build and improve their credit. It is a great deterrent and critical part of my due diligence process when vetting new tenants. I make it clearly stated in my paperwork they are signing the ability for me to report their credit. If they are not willing to sign, I don't accept them as my tenant and move on! A great tool for filtering professional tenants!Landlord Credit Bureau Response

I have been using LCB Services for a few months now, and I am very happy with it. I was able to report a past tenant's debt owed for unpaid utilities. As soon as the tenants started getting the reminder e mails of the debt owed and how it could affect their credit score, they reached out to me, and paid me what they owed in full. I will continue to use this tool, as I think it is very valuable. I get timely replies whenever I send them an e mail as well. We have been using LCB for a while and I think all landlords should have LCB in their screening toolbox in a professional way. Landlords should take advantage of these kinds of tools that are available to them. It helps good tenants and landlords improve the overall renting experience / landlording business. We have been using LCB for almost a year. We have found great success with this service.
A couple of points,
1. LCB customer service is excellent, we receive an email and or phone call in a timely fashion for every issue.
2. Set up was easier than we thought, we have a number of properties each with their own unique leases and tenant information. The LCB staff walked us through it.
3. Providing our business with a way of holding our tenants accountable has been a game changer for us. The LCB has elevated us to the next level of professional property ownership.

This is a great service as a struggling landlord. It gave me a way to report my tenants bad history to their credit. So that when they smarten up and want to do something with their lives. Banks will know that they owe me... Turns out as soon as it was posted on their credit. They received and email. And that was enough to get in contact with me to try and work something out. Thanks so much LCB!! It made my old tenants know that thus is the real deal. Not just them owing me and nothing comes of it. Thanks so much for the great customer service. Excellent customer support. The team cares about a balanced approach between tenants and landlords. They work hard to create a system that has better representation, better accountability and better transparency.
