      *** **** ****** **** **** ***** ** **** *** *** *** ************ ** ******* *** * started company in September of 2023. Homestars was one of the first companies to contact us about getting us work. For the first few months we got alot of leads but only a few ended up going with us. They would call all the time to see how things were going and to change or add services to our profile. By December we rarely heard from them anymore and when we did it was because we had been trying to contact them. With season change alot of our contracts were done mid april, therefore we're definitely not making as much as we were. we missed two payments and instantly got a letter stating they were going to send it to collections, no phone calls or emails to see what as going on just that email. So i replied telling them what i thought and how its stupid that we cannot cancel for a year or put the service on hold and later that day we received a call from our new rep? i guess asking what he could do to help and this and that. Him and I had a meeting booked the following Tuesday, he said he would call at 9 am on the dot so i could make a payment, as we had some jobs on the weekend and my husband had scheduled a meeting with him on the same day to add services to our profile. Tuesday passed and we heard nothing, later that week he texts my husband asking why he hasn't heard from us. He still continiues to text asking when if were ready to pay. At this point neither of us care to pay or use them again, ************* * ***** *** **** ******* ***** **** **** **** ****** *** ******

      **** ******* ** ****** They sign you up for a 1 year contract and refuse to cancel at the end of the term. They will keep trying to bill you and then report you to a NON REGISTERED collection agency from out of the country. We have been getting ******** by that collections agency for 2 years. Their claims hold no water as we have recorded proof of a Homestars customer service rep, saying we have a balance of 0 and that they reached out to the agency.

      I want to express my experience on being ****** by this company HomeStars Inc.. * ****** *** ******* ******* ***** ** *** *** ***** ****** ** * ***** *** **** ****** ** ***** **** **** *** **** ********* ** ******** When I inquired about promoting my business on HomeStars Inc. site I wanted to promote my business services which are from kitchen remodel services, renovations, decks, door & window replacements and more. HomeStars Inc. asked me what town & city my company services. I told them and they replied saying there is tons of homeowners in my area looking for handyman services and basically guaranteed me my phone would ring off the hook. I said what about what I asked for in the beginning. They replied to handyman services and general contractors in your area from what their system gathers for information will make my phone ring with tons of inquires. I again asked about promoting my other services, I was then told it would cost addition for each extra service I would like to promote. I then decide to test it as they mentioned with handyman services & general contractors. Though I said and stated 3-times, I will be willing to test it for 3 months and if I do not receive the leads as they mentioned, I will cancel the contract HomeStars Inc. they said sure, but you need to sign our agreement. They also said I should build my page, place photos etc. and ask some of my past customers to put a review on my page at HomeStars Inc. Not one lead in 3-months came from there site HomeStars Inc. So when I told them I'm canceling as i did not receive any leads, there reply was, (You signed a 12-month term, I think it is important for us to discuss that). I told them there was no sense as I said a 3- month test was more then enough as HomeStars Inc. said my phone will ring off the hook right away. Now they have me in collections, which will tarnish my credit rating.

      I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service provided by Homestar, which I subscribed to with the intention of gaining leads for my construction business, . In March, I was assured that Homestar would be a valuable resource for connecting with potential clients, prompting me to invest $1,400 for a two-month subscription. Unfortunately, the reality of the service has been starkly different from what was promised. Despite the significant investment made, all leads provided during this period were non-responsive, making it clear that these were not genuine opportunities but rather, a collection of **** or irrelevant contacts. This has not only resulted in a financial loss for my company but has also wasted valuable time and resources that could have been directed towards genuine business development efforts. Further compounding this issue, I have attempted to address my concerns directly with Homestar by sending an email on April 1st, requesting the cancellation of my subscription and seeking clarification on the matter. To date, I have not received any form of response, acknowledgment, or support from your team. This lack of communication is unacceptable and unprofessional, reflecting poorly on Homestar's commitment to customer service and satisfaction.

      * **** *** ***** *** * ******** ****** *** ***** **** ******* **** *** **** ******* * *** ***** They put the payment through literally 30 seconds after hanging up the phone - before "onboarding" or being "verified". Onboarding was scheduled and the rep didn't show up TWICE on the arranged virtual meeting - no apology. Two weeks into the first month - still no onboarding or verification. During our initial call with the account manager he explained if you aren't "verified" they will refund our money because that is a big selling feature to potential clients. Our verification was denied due to past DUI back in the 90s. They wanted a police check - we explained it would still show up - why incur the extra expense!? We did it anyways just to confirm and get our money back. We sent emails to them that didn't get answered until WE followed up a week later (but again they sure put the payment through fast). Now they are claiming the police check via a 3rd party is not sufficient!       ***** * ***** ** ********* I finally tried an advertising company * ******* * ***** ***** and oh man, disappointed is an understatement. **** ** * ***** ***** they have tons of companies on their app and not enough customers to supply all of them. They promise a "success manager" to be available when you need but they NEVER are. At least mine, Chelsea, *** **** ********* Never makes it to our online appointments and send notices to reschedule days after the original one. When i try reaching out by phone, it sends me straight to voicemail every time. Their contracts are 12 months and you will definitely not care about the penalties for early cancellation (35% of remaining contract) after a few months *** **** ******** ****** **** *** ****** **** ** *** **** **** **** ** *********

      ******** **** **** ******* ** * ******** ***** Once you sign up, forget about talking to anyone. No one answers the phone. When you call your phone number is routed to your rep regardless of what number you call. **** ***** *** ******* ***** ****** * ****** ** *** **** **** *** ***** And of course forget about a call back. Towards the end of your dismal contract, a different kinder, more understanding ***** will call to try to smooth out the mood due to lack of, and useless leads because of miscategorization of your service, and offer you a discount for the remainder of the contract. Even if you tell the rep that you are not going to renew. Why?, because they set up the new discounted price as another annual contract without consent. I had no choice but to cancel my credit card because * **** ********* **** Homestar's will continue to attempt to debit your account even after the contract has run its course. And sure enough, they did! (try that is) I could go on, but I hope you get the point. Work on your own SEO, ****** ***** *******

      Your service provided 3 companies to quote on our project. I initiated conversation with all 3 companies. One ignored my request. One expressed interest then did not follow up. I can't name the companies because I deleted their names when frustrated that they did not follow up and I didn't consider this review Thankfully the 3rd was very interested and made an estimate. We had no idea if it was competitive because they were the only company that responded. We used their services and paid an amount that we had nothing to compare it to. We are disappointed as to the vetting of the companies.
