1 star***** ******* *** *** ******** ******* **** *** ** **** **** ******* **** ***** *** ****** ******* ** ****** * In all my years I’ve holding insurance 4 decades I have never had a problem until the misfortune of signing with this 3rd party brokerage. They can’t keep staff & every call results in lengthy file reviews but more so the brokers have limited training and ZERO ability for executive functioning. Joined June 20/24 two cars & home great rates. The broker *** * **** ******* **** *** *** ****** ******** ****** *** explained the month long delay to policy implementation. We were out with *** however it was not disclosed that 1. *** takes 3 months for first instalment “surprise” 2. *** does not allow date changes to auto withdrawal. Changing date with *** policy requires cancelling and reissuing a new policy and original rates are not honoured. We didn’t realize that the SCOOP broker screwed up our date until 3 months into the policy. This resulted in an NSF in February (new card was issued by bank) which wasn’t noticed until April as SCOOP never sent a registered letter as they claimed and won’t provide proof of sending a hard copy - we never registered for online portal access- which was their excuse. Once we noticed the NSF SCOOP was contacted immediately and option to pay by new card over the phone to the specific broker never happened as she ghosted us. When requested if payment could be paid ONLINE the broker **** said NO. Untrue according to ***. Insurance went from $2400 to $5400 on a perfect insurance record. Cancelled without notice as SCOOP was sending notices to the wrong email ! Supervisor Unavailable from Thursday to Easter Monday leaving us stranded on the long weekend so had to rent a vehicle to have insurance. Not sure if we will hear from them Monday - unlikely is our guess. We are reporting them on every oversight board available and have contacted legal. Just a horrible unavoidable nightmare - ***** ** *** ***** *Review fromDmitri A

5 starsI found the conduct of my broker, Jacklyn A. very professional and efficient. Such an interaction resulted in the successful completion of agreement to the satisfaction of both parties. Much appreciated, Jacklyn.Review fromNancy M

1 star**** ****** After calling the company called lower *****.ca, I was transferred to Thinh T. who goes by the name Ryan from Scoop Insurance. He gave me a quote with *** (a trusted company). I was hesitant to complete the transaction and said I wanted to keep looking and after being put on hold several times, he gave me a very low quote (aprx $20-$30 less than all others). Despite my reservations, I agreed to sign (via e signature). 3 days later and ‘Ryan’ emailed me with a new hoop to jump through so he could ‘secure’ the rate. I was flabbergasted because I had already given all my information and signed the contract… I immediately requested to cancel (well within the legal cooling off period), and was told I needed to ‘do it over the phone’. I refused because after being **** to the first time, I was. It falling for that again. I’ve now been charged an eye-watering amount on my credit card and when I’ve asked for the invoice with a breakdown of the costs, all I got was a generic receipt with some made up total. ********** ***** ******** ****** **** **** . *** ****** ** ********** ******* ** ** ********** **** **** *******. I will be reporting Scoop and Thinh T. to RIBO as well for his *********** sales tactics.Review fromheather r

1 star********** *********** ****** ********** ********* Unresolved Billing for a Vehicle No Longer Owned ******* I wish to express my concern regarding the ongoing billing issue with SCOOP INSURANCE BROKERS for an automobile that I sold almost two years ago. Despite multiple requests, the insurance coverage for this vehicle has not been canceled, and charges continue to be withdrawn from my account. The communication received from SCOOP INSURANCE BROKERS has been unsatisfactory, with references to procedural delays such as document processing by ***, which has only served to prolong this issue without resolution. Proposed Solution: I respectfully request that SCOOP INSURANCE BROKERS immediately: Cancel the insurance policy for the vehicle in question. Reimburse all funds withdrawn from my account since the date of the vehicle's sale. Given the severity and duration of this oversight, I am compelled to consider legal consultation to resolve this matter. I trust that SCOOP INSURANCE BROKERS will take swift action to rectify this situation, thereby avoiding further escalation. Thank you for your attention to this critical issue.Review fromRICHARD S

1 starTerrible. Tried to work with broker for a month before insurance ran out. Thought everything was set up however no money was charged to my account and the broker I was working with literally disappeared and did not return my emails and did not acknowledge me until 2 days after my insurance ran out . My Insurance ran out on a Monday and I did not hear back from them till Wednesday. I had already purchased insurance from somewhere else...when I told the broker that I had to purchase it from somewhere else...the payment immediately was charged to my credit card. Trying to get my money back and after numerous calls was told it would be another 2-3 weeks to process repayment. My payment was 1800 for the year. * ***** **** ** * **** *** I would not not recommend to anyone at all. Also tried to purchase home insurance through them. However after a month of signing everything, no money has been charged to my credit card ( I was paying for the entire year) and no papers form the insurance company. When I asked them about it they were very vague...however despite it not being completed and no money being exchanged ( so really nothing purchased) I was told there would be a cancellation fee. **** ******* ** * ************ *******Review fromThomas S

1 star**** ** ***** * **** ***** * ***** **** **** ***** ** ** **** ** ******* Over two weeks ago I received a written quote for auto insurance through *********, via Scoop's brokers. The initial representative with whom I was speaking seems to have literally disappeared. Once I tired of waiting - with no returned emails, or responses to the numerous voicemail messages that I left - I reached out to Scoop directly. I was eventually transferred to a broker who began my "new" quote at almost $300.00 more than the initial quote that I received in writing. After discussing my driving history and providing my CEL, Driver's License and banking details, an agreement was reached to receive insurance for one year. The next day, I received a follow up email stating that my premium had increased by over $300.00 a year, due to a newfound violation on my abstract. This one and only violation was one that had been discussed with the broker the day before and he said - if we find anything ELSE, your rate may change. Knowing that I had disclosed the only thing in my history, I signed the forms. I have now been told that I am bound to a term and payment amount that is about $583.00 more than the initial quote that struck my interest in the first place! **** ***** ** ************* and I let myself get sucked in... * **** **** ****** ** *** ****** *** ********* **** **** ****** *** ***** ** ******** I canceled my policy immediately *** **** **** * ******** **** ********** *** **** **** ************ *************Review fromNicole M

1 starexchange 35 email with "broker" with constantly asking, I need this or that and more and more, asking all questions that does not make sense. Every little details, and keep changing quote, not to mentioned that I had to ask her to fix mistakes in insurance document few times. **** ***** BTW I canceled my previous insurance during this weeks of back/forward. When I finally set and sign contract they send me a waiver to sign that I refused mandatory coverage for leased vehicle (they never asked me about it). Obviously after they added price went up again. **** ********* ******* *** ************* **** ****
