Mountainview prepped the driveway on 08/19/21 and paved it 3 weeks later 09/09/21 It was not prepped correctly: it should be dug down 6-8 inches and then backfilled to grade for water flow, before the asphalt is poured on top. This is confirmed by 4-5 different local paving professionals, and a simple ****** search (Prep a driveway for paving) Due to the fact that Mountainview chose not to remove the existing base (cut corners), and just paved over top of it, this halfway done job is creating problems. -Water continues to pool in my existing walkway. -Water continues to go into the garage, despite the crooked swale that they created. -Most companies also do a slight crowning, so that water can flow on both sides, soas to not overflow in one spot. -Water is flowing towards my house, instead of pouring onto the grass on either side. Also, I have had several family members injure themselves already on the tripping hazard due to the seven inch height difference between the new driveway and the existing grass. -The side of the driveway is crooked, and cannot be fixed. When I brought it to their attention, they had men come and "scuff up" the orange line in the grass, so that it is not so obvious how far it was away from the mark. -When it was pointed out that there was puddling at the end of the driveway, they came back to put burn marks in the pavement. Those mini swales just move the water around, and are an eyesore. I've had strangers ask me "How did your driveway get burned/damaged here?" -there are plants growing through the brand new asphalt, about a month after install. A ****** search indicates this happens when the base is not prepped correctly. I have spoke to the owner and employees from Mountainview. They came here and heard the complaints, this is why they dug the swale deeper and scuffed up the painter's line, and added the mini swales (burn marks) to the driveway. Phone calls and emails about the big issue of improper prep are going unanswered now.

Punctuality- our project did not start on planned date (mid June 2022) was notified the day before construction that they are short in manpower. Construction did not happen until mid July-2022. And until now our back yard is still not complete due to lack of duties and commitment to complete their work by constant extension of time due to multiple excuses and internal employment issues with the sub-contractors that **** hired for this contract. That leave us (the paying clients) in the middle of their drama. Communication- lack of communication, as clients we feel disrespected when they ignore our calls and messages when we try to reach out to them. As well as not keeping us posted as to what, where, and when something will be done unless we contact them first. They never respond back when promised. Integrity- **** gave us his words that the quality of work is going to last until our great grand children and the concrete will still stand strong. Low and behold its already cracked, broken and chipped. The finished work just doesnt have a finesse to it. There is signs of rusts through the cracks, cement splatters, the sealant is not shiny at all on the stamp. Not once did **** came by to check on the quality of work his crew was doing. For the work that **** is charging us is exceptionally more than any local contractors in the area but the finished work does not justify the price. We are not willing to go forward for his company to complete this contract and had reached out to ask for our partial refund for the task not yet completed. But they have wasted more of our time beating around bushes. Before seeking legal advices we have given them chances to deal with deficiency of their work. We have gather all proof of deficiencies to proceed with legal matter. Emails has been sent to Mountainview of pictures and videos of deficiencies. We feel that we have been very patient and reasonable to this point but we not had our good faith reciprocated by Mountainview
