The roof was replaced june 11/21. The payment was $3672, he asked for $1000 cash & balance by cheque. Even before getting a quote it was explained to Mr. Wolfe that the roof on the garage had a sag & we wanted that repaired, as we had 2 other quotes saying it needed new thicker plywood replacing what was there. The house next door had the same problem as these are townhouses, all the same & built at the same time. He also had this included in his quote. When I got home from work (I am ******** daughter) he asked me to show him where the sag was, which I thought was odd as he has been in roofing for years according to his brochure. Anyway he assured me he would take care of it & said he had the plywood in his truck. So I went in & they finished the roof. When they came to the door to ask for payment none of them had face masks on & I was concerned for my senior mom who had just only received her 1st vaccination for covid. Because of that and because he said he was going to take care of the sag, I didn't think I had to inspect the roof while they were here. When I went out to cut the grass I looked at the roof & was very upset to see the sag still there and the shingles on the garage were not laying like the rest of the roof. I emailed him shortly after that & his reply was that another roofer working on the roof said it was structural & that is as good as it gets. He never said anything when he was here & just went ahead & put the new shingles on. He said in the email it would be too costly to fix, but that was not up to him, he should have told us and asked what we wanted to do. They never asked to go in the garage attic to look for the problem & because he never informed us about what was going on, I feel for some reason he wasn't being honest about it. Then several shingles lifted & I emailed him about that. He just said they would fix it, but never heard from him again. He needs to re-do the garage & fix the sag. It is a very small area.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/09) */ Hi The trusses in the garage, are slightly different size's we shimmed the wows in the roof with shingles, this was a error when the builders built the house. No roofer will tear off all the plywood, and rebuild trusses. This you would need a permit, this is carpentry(builder stuff) not roofing issue Looking forward to your reply Thanks Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/11/11) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I've spoken with 2 roofing contractors & they said that is the job of the roofer to repair any damage & if someone you hire says they will take care of it then they should. Mr. Wolfe misled me when he said he would fix it, then didn't and just put the new shingles on over the damaged part of the garage. Now winter is coming & the roof is still in need of repair, as well as several shingles that are lifting. He has been paid in full & refuses to fix it, or doesn't know how. What happens if it gets worse. He needs to give back a refund for what it will cost to have the garage redone. This seems to be a dishonest business practice on his part & my mother is also a senior which makes this worse. It's been very upsetting. The whole point of getting a new roof or anything else redone is that is better but also repaired & done right. Now I don't know who will help as these guys are still busy & the one man I spoke with said he will have to wait until spring to fix it. Mr. Wolfe has not replied why he didn't come to fix the lifted shingles or why he did not advise us on the condition of the roof & just shingled over the problem. It seems to be he thought it was easy to mislead two ladies, one of which is a senior, collect payment & leave. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/11/12) */ It's a structural matter not a roofing matter
