********** ****** I signed an agreement for a complete kitchen renovation and paid deposit as per contract (50%) June 1st 2023. Work commenced on time. Contractor demanded 2nd payment (40%), well before all products were delivered (as per contract) September 15th 2023. Contractor then started to show up sporadically and did little to no work. He finally began ghosting both my wife and myself (not answering phone, responding to texts or emails). He would occasionally send a text promising to show up to complete the balance of the work. The agreed to date would come and go, contractor was a no show. This went on for months (5.5 months to date). Contractor never returned to complete kitchen or drop off balance of kitchen ie: doors, shelves, drawer, quartz counter, sink, handles and hardware, ceiling repairs etc. Would not refund money as he promised repeatedly. I have now had to pay another company for the sink and countertop, as well as contract a second contractor to finish the work.
